What we’ll do

We are going to feast like real Lisboners !! Go up, down, drink and eat! A bit away from the too touristy areas we will over 3 hours from 6.30PM be visiting 5 spots, including 4 typical Portuguese restaurants and a charming food shop we call “mercearia”. My goal is to bring you where the local goes, because local knows! You’ll be able to see people from “Lisboa” going out for real Pestiscos…

What else you should know

One note: do not eat before :) We won’t walk a lot, the spots are close to each other, anyway the food tour involves a certain amount of uphill walking on cobble stones and climb down steps, typical old Lisbon streets. Bring appetite, good mood, comfortable clothes and shoes, adapted to the weather.

Where we'll be

Downtown is filled up with tourist traps. That’s why this tour takes places in a traditional and non “so”-touristy area. 1th stop: Chorizo sausage and morcela sausage on the fire, or the art of watery and juicy meals prepared “Flambé” with alongside a fruity Alentejo wine. 2nd restaurant: Peculiar terrace and typical dishes like alheira dumpling, bacalhau à bràs and peixinhos da Horta paired to tanic wines from the region. 3rd stop: introduction to fresh Pesticos and Vinho tinto of Lisbon in a cozy restaurant 4th stage: a mercearia, its range of local cheese, nuts figs and its red and white sweet ports. Final stage: the district of Madragoa, the "Saint des Saints" religious dessert and its atheist muscatel.
