What you'll do

What about a very special and unique walking tour? The meeting point is at the iconic Red Tower ("Torre Rossa"). From there, we'll start our pleasant walk, along some historic sites in the city core, with 3 "food&wine" stops: a quaint bar/pastry shop, a very central wine shop and a highly appreciated wine bar. Over there we'll enjoy some of the most delicious and famous local products. Moscato d'Asti D.O.C.G & Barbera d'Asti D.O.C.G., probably the best known white and red wines in the area, will "accompany", together with other great wines, our tastings among local cakes, excellent cold cuts, cheese and other typical food, available in the very season.
Other things to note
Asti can be easily reached from anywhere in Piedmont and in just 1 hour drive from Milan. Also the Italian western lakes and mountains, or the Ligurian coast are close enough to experience this tour.

I was born in Asti and I live here with my family. I am a professional tourist guide, focused on Piedmont. Above all, I actually love my city, as it's studded with so many jewels: arts, history, delicious local food and excellent wines. Thanks to my profession, I've learnt that discovering and enjoying what is "behind the scenes" is the actual Experience any visitor should live, by counting on a local, just at your side. And here, in my city, the funny thing is that acting like a local means tasting our food & wine gems; not bad at all!

Alberto was exceptional. We felt welcomed and valued. He was very knowledgeable and passionate. The highlight was being able to taste Asti wine and hazelnut cake. We also loved buying bottles of wine at a local beautiful wine shop. Definitely a 6 star experience. :)

Alberto was a great guide who ensured that our needs were met and did the tour at a pace that enabled us to look, take photos and ask many questions about Asti the town as well as the region. Good value for money.

Alberto is very friendly and he's passionate about his hometown of Asti. We made three stops for tastings in between visiting piazzas and churches. And at the end he even helped me find a shop for postcards and get stamps at the local post office. Altogether a very delightful morning!

Alberto was an incredibly knowledgeable guide and host for the city of Asti. As a local and a professional tour guide, he was able to not only show us the sights but also describe the history, politics, culture and essence of Asti. We would highly recommend booking him to show you the city and the incredible food and wine it has to offer.

Alberto was the ultimate host and my friend and I were lucky to be the only ones on the tour that day and have him all to ourselves. His knowledge and love for his home are evident in every step we took. We learned so much about the history and culture that we too fell in love with Asti. We tasted amazing food and incredible wine. And thanks to having a private tour, we were able to really talk about the city and country in a way most people are not fortunate enough to do. I cannot thank him enough and highly recommend taking advantage this experience.
