What you'll do

Meet your certified local guide in the shadow of the town hall that delimit the southern front of the square where the most important monument of the city, the Arena, stands. Follow him to reach the northern part of the square, where, in the shadow of the Bra Gardens, you can carefully observe the shape of the amphitheater and discover already very interesting details such as the original size, its relationship with the town and the complex articulation of its access facilities. Then you will move towards the "wing", in whose shadow you will be able to spot other unexpected details. You will then enter the amphitheatre and walk along its corridors and archways to explore the ingenious structure capable of connecting the external gates with the internal "vomitoria". You will discover the places frequented by gladiators and those used to house fairs. Will you perhaps forget to enter the "arena" as a gladiator would have done? And take a seat on the stonesteps as the spectators still do? After listening to the countless anecdotes related to the world of gladiator games, you will end our tour in the most hidden and evocative part of the whole amphitheater. And there, your free time will begin, so that you can stay in this extraordinary place for as long as you wish.

Born and raised in Verona, I was lucky enough to experience other places as well, to discover, however, that the city I prefer most in the world is Verona. Here I live with my family (an adorable companion and a beautiful child) and I carry out the profession of my dreams: Tourist Guide and Environmental Hiking Guide (authorized by the Province of Verona). The mission is to "initiate" the visitors to the enormous local cultural heritage, so that they can make the most of the wealth that the city offers. I consider myself lucky: when I work I feel the honor of being an interpreter and ambassador of my city. I live my job therefore as the best opportunity to enjoy one of my great passions: Verona, the city where I certainly want to spend the rest of my life. And I'll be waiting for you right there.

Where you'll be

The experience begins outside the amphitheater to discover countless details that the expert eye knows how to grasp and that allow the visitor to look at so an extraordinary building in a better way. We will retrace the events above all inside, exploring it all. We will pay particular attention to the gladiator games for which the building was built. We will finish inside to allow the visitor to stay longer at their leisure.

Grazie
