What you'll do

* WINTER TOURS; please dress warmly - the farm is quite windy + we'll be walking up a hill so please make sure you have appropriate footwear. Also, due to the fact that our pigs are spoiled divas, they will NOT go to the pond in inclement weather. Instead, we'll enjoy some time with the chickens and ducks in addition to the pigs and alpacas :)

You'll start your farm adventure learning about our Alpacas - why we have them, some basic care and handling practices and then we'll move into the pen where you can get up close and feed if you wish - this is not a petting zoo so touching the alpacas is not guaranteed. Sometimes they're groovy with a neck scratch, sometimes they'd rather just a photo opt - either way, you'll be in for quite the experience!
Next, we'll introduce you to our rescue pigs, Jolene and Billy Ray - they aren't shy to the limelight and would love a belly rub or ear scratch. We'll give you some info on pot bellys and WHY they're one of our fave farm friends.
We'll finish off the tour with the pigs down by our pond where you can feed them and refresh with a beverage yourself :)
There will be lots of opportunity for photos, so don't be shy!
Other things to note
Please note that we're a farm that loves on its farm friends but we do not guarantee that the animals are always up for pats or snuggles - we're not a petting zoo.

Hey! Im Jenn, a first gen farmer (kind of) who traded in the city life to become a country mouse (with an affinity for sequins and great shoes).
I took over the family farm 5 years ago and have been acquiring misfit animals ever since.
We have a fondness for the underdogs and a passion for education and animal welfare. Our days are never dull and always filled with adventure of some sort, and A LOT of slobbery kisses. We're super excited to share a glimpse of our farm life - in all its unconventional glory :)

Amazing amazing experience. Especially for the kiddos. The animals were delightful, the host was very kind and accommodating and cat was the star of the show. I have never done a farm visits accompanied by two friendly goats.

This was such a fun experience. We had our 2 year olds bday here (for just the family and one other fam). The animals are so adorable. The kids loved feeding the chickens, cow, horses and alpacas. The pot belly pigs were awesome but a little too loud for our kiddos. It was so much fun and Jenn was very responsive to all our questions

Personalities abound at Millen+Smith Acres! The animals were a RIOT! Firstly, we were greeted by curious domestic geese who politely waited for you to put down the food bowls before they had some nibbles. The European geese had something to say and were not above nipping at the tail feathers of their chicken kin. There was a shy baby emu who will no doubt grow into a towering feathery presence. There were ducks who wore their old, molting plumage like hats which made for some hilarious pictures. And, a barn cat that wins first place for cuddliest and friendliest feline around. Cue the wonderment and awws as our host brought out a tiny piglet, duckling and bunnies. SO. MUCH. CUTENESS. Then we met Daisy, once a bottle-fed calf, now an adult cow that has a gentle habit of sucking on your hand – an experience I never thought I’d have! Moving across the farm, we stop in an area with tall grass and notice a tumultuous sway. It’s Billy Ray - a delightful chonk of a pig, greeting us enthusiastically. Turns out his pen mate is temporarily MIA and as we move towards the alpacas, we spot her, Jolene the pig, chilling en route. Then we hear a chorus of Boo’s and Bah’s - the sheep perk up and take notice of us. One goat, then two, break out of their shared enclosure and join in snack time with the alpacas. Roxie the Pyrenees watched us from afar with some serious FOMO before eventually joining us on our farm walk. He is a very good boy! This was the best animal experience. Best of all, you can tell these animals are really loved. Book it!

We had such a lovely morning at the farm! Lots of opportunity to interact with a bunch of farm animals and we got to feed most of them. It felt like visiting a friends farm, our guide was so awesome!
