About your host

I am a former environmental science professor and an avid whitewater canoeist. I have designed & built my own eco-home in the Blue Mountains, where I raise my two teens and dabble with wood-work, like canoe paddles, in my spare time. "Everyone must believe in something. I believe I'll go canoeing." Henry David Thoreau

What we’ll do

Relax. This is the Blue Mountains. We're at the Lake. You'll sit in the front of my open canoe, a vessel used by ancient peoples for millennia, holding one of my hand-made timber paddles.
