What you'll do
Bubble down with us at the JCB lounge with local and French cheeses. Mayberry on the outside, Morocco on the inside, here we will get swanky and get into some real talk about champagne and sparkling wine. Soup and salad are next. Sound boring...oh contraire! This is often people's most favorite food on the tour. Many regular visitors say they return to Napa just because of this soup! Celebrity chef, Thomas Keller's newest restaurant is next for authenic Oaxacan cuisine, where we explore more wine and a tasty rotating dish to please. Sweet-tooths, don't despair. We have brownies in the shape of corks to go with our last stop's port. Just for fun, we throw in a visit to Kollar Chocolate to top off your experience. Savory chefs turned Chocolatiers make the very best and most creative truffles. While we do not go into The French Laundry, we perch in their lovely culinary garden and discuss all things TFL, while we sip-nibble-sip our last course. We make film and series recommendations as well as wineries to enhance your visit and experience. Besides learning more about wine, our content is as rich as the soup! You will hear how The French Laundry originally started, what it used to be and learn about who originally built the dwelling. Our tour is extra small, so we can keep it conversational. Our goal is that you feel as through you are with friends and not on a tour.
I've been a local for 25 years and live in the Sonoma Plaza neighborhood, running our family tour business for 4 wine country towns + Sausalito. I have been in the wine industry for 10+ years and developed pairing tours to share my passion with other curious visitors. After 5 years of guiding, I joined the Guild of Sommeliers and earned my first level of four with the Court of Master of Sommeliers. My adult kids and I guide with 3 other professionals who have helped us earn two positions in the Top 15 Best Foodie Tours in the US, by US News & World Reports. We all educate our palates and minds by traveling to note-worthy restaurants locally and internationally. Look for our Napa, Yountville, St Helena & Sausalito experiences on Abnb too! You can find them by clicking on my profile photo. Some have only recently been added to ABNB.
Four - course pairings at four special Yountville locations + treats from Bouchon Bakery and a Kollar Chocolate.
1/2 a glass of local wine at each sit down restaurant. We pair our 2 desserts with a Sonoma Zinfandel Port

Where you'll be
We visit JCB's Atilier & Tasting Room, Bistro Jeanty, La Calenda, Bouchon Bakery & Kollar Chocolate on our typical tour. On occasion, we will swap a restaurant, but promise it will be equally amazing. Our restaurants are all from award-winning chefs. We explain and taste why - at each and every stop, landing in The French Laundry Culinary Garden for our dessert and finale.
