About your host, Mark
Mark is a self taught professional photographer who travels widely. He has collaborated with fellow photographers in workshops in Tokyo, Delhi and Hong Kong to name but a few. His passion for photography means he is keen to share his artistic approach through the lens. From professional to amateur, he works with everyone. Mark believes that great street photography is not about gear, it’s about vision...let him make you see.
What we’ll do
Whether you are a professional or amateur, own a DSLR or smartphone, we will take to the streets of London’s South Bank area for a fine art street photography workshop. I will show you how to visualise and create a scene before it happens. Bring your own fully charged camera; ensure your memory card or phone has plenty of memory space; no tripod needed; wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the British weather!
Where we’ll be
We will meet at Blackfriars Underground Station and then cross the Thames to the exciting South Bank area. We will take in Tate Modern and the Millennium Bridge and photograph more historical areas such as Clink Street and Borough Market, before finishing up at City Hall and The Shard.
