About your host

I'm the self-appointed Minister of Injera. I was named after Mamma Desta, who opened the first Habesha (Eritrean/Ethiopian) restaurant in the States. Although I grew up all over the world, my Dad always managed to track down our traditional food. I first took a crash course in how to make everything before I moved to Brazil, since I was freaking out about going a year without it. I've since built…

What we’ll do

When guests arrive they will get a glass of traditional spiced tea OR delicious honey wine. I will explain the menu & ingredients and give everyone an apron. We will make a yummy array of vegan dishes that will enjoy with injera, the pride & joy, the traditional bread of Eritrea & Ethiopia. And no doubt a bit more honey wine.

What else you should know

My place is literally around the corner from Ladbroke Grove, so super easy to get to. I have a NCASS Safe Food Level 2 - Hygiene Training online training course (Triple-accredited qualification).
