First of all I am fun! Full Blooded Italian American, been in Santa Barbara since 1965! Having grown up with some of the core Santa Barbara Family descendants my interest was peaked at a young age about local history. Finding arrowheads from the Chumash who are the original people of the land here, helped me understand who was here first... and the rest of us afterwards! Yes, I obtained a Master of Science in Education and have taught at universities. In fact I run an education program for youth now called D'Arezzo Creative Education named after Guido D'Arezzo the Italian who created the staff for Modern Music. I have traveled the world advocating for human rights for indigenous people, slave descendants in Central America and trafficked women and children. My heart is to share the deep history of our beautiful land, sea and people!

We were very happy with our tour by Joseph and Andrew. They were personable and knowledgeable and worked hard at showing us the best of the best. It's a wonderful way of spending an afternoon in Santa Barbara.

We really enjoyed our tour with Joseph and Hunter, especially visiting some spots that only the locals know, and hearing about the efforts to preserve the natural habitat of the area. It’s a great opportunity to see many “off the beaten path” sights and catch some amazing views of the city and ocean.

Awesome afternoon! Lived in SB now for 2 years and still haven’t had the chance to really dive into the culture and history. Joseph and his student, Hunter, gave an engaging n personalized tour by car and foot. Really enjoyed the mini-hike through Hope Rach’s nature preserve to ‘feel’ the history of SB. Highly recommend for those looking to better appreciate this paradise city.

Joseph was very knowledgeable about the area and took us to some wonderful locations that only the locals know about. We learned a lot about Santa Barbara and about the conservation efforts Joseph is involved in which we support! Thanks Joseph.
