What you'll do

Join the tradition of viewing the cherry trees in bloom

Ohanami—cherry blossom viewing—is the traditional Japanese custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers. From the end of March to early May, cherry trees bloom all over Japan. In modern-day Japan, hanami is the tradition of welcoming springtime. It mostly consists of having an outdoor party beneath the sakura—cherry blossoms—during daytime or at night. I will guide you to my neighborhood, Senzokuike, which is very famous for viewing cherry blossoms. You will learn how to enjoy ohanami in the local way. You can enjoy beautiful sakura with soft drinks and finger food.
