What you'll do

Starting at the Arcade in Providence, we'll first meet up and we'll pass out some fresh hot coffee if you'd like some to stay warm and get invigorated for a long walk! Make sure to wear comfortable shoes! We'll then begin walking and checking out the constantly rotating art pieces created and distributed by The Avenue Project as well as the permanent installations Providence has to offer. We will be checking out over 40 pieces of art all across downtown! The walk starts at The Arcade, where we'll begin walking and seeing some of the amazing murals curated by The Avenue Project. The tour then leads us down the river walk (where water-fire takes place) to check out some of the permanent installations along the waterfront. Then we will walk over the brand new Pedestrian bridge to check out some more murals and art back in downtown. After that, we will check out some pieces on the way towards the Dunkin Donuts Center, including the WW2 memorial in front of Hasbro Headquarters. We'll then cut back across Weybosset, and check out a ton of amazing murals all over the Theater district and all over Downcity, ending at Kennedy Plaza.

Your hosts

Your hosts will be us! Jason and Jacob, two twin brothers who love traveling and also love art! While traveling Europe and in Montreal Canada, Jason worked at hostels in order to fund his stay. Because of his charisma, he was often put in charge of leading the travelers on guided tours, whether of Mount Royal in Montreal, in the nightlife of Prague, CZ, or even on a guided street art tour of Rotterdam, NL. Now he's back home in Providence and is ready to bring that expertise back to our neck of the woods. While traveling in Puerto Rico, Jacob had an Airbnb experience that changed his life. Back home in Providence, he wants to offer an experience of his own. A visual artist himself and graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design, Jacob's insights into the arts make him particularly qualified to discuss what makes art great
