What you'll do

Kayak La Jolla's beautiful Reserve and Sea Caves

Update: San Diego County allowed kayak tours to reopen on May 15th, and it has been fantastic being back on the water! A fun and safe experience is always our number one concern!

La Jolla Bay is a Marine Protected Area that is home to a thriving ecosystem that boasts a high concentration of sea life, has a natural boat launch, which allows safe ocean entry year round, and is famous for it's Sea Caves and Marine Reserve.

No experience is required. Your guide will kick things off with a paddle tutorial. If surf exists we will help push your kayak through the breakers.

As we paddle through La Jolla’s Marine Reserve keep an eye out for Seals, Sea Lions, Sea Turtles, Pelicans, Cormorants, Garibaldi (Nemo's cousin), Harmless Leopard Sharks, and Dolphin. Note: We cannot guarantee sea life.

If conditions are safe we will help guide your kayak into Emerald Cave. We have to kayak over and visually inspect the caves to know if it’s safe to enter. Emerald Cave is the only cave along S. CA's coast that’s safe to kayak into. Note: if not safe we will not enter and we spend a minute inside.

La Jolla Bay is an Uncontrollable Environment. Please come enjoy this place we love knowing each day is different than the last.

Satisfaction Guarantee. Do not feel this was a 5 star trip, message me.

Great for families, all skill levels & all ages over 5.

We had a great time in the water! It was a beautiful day and we saw some super cute sea lions and a harbor seal. Will do it again the next time we're in town.

It was a great experience. They are with you the entire time to make sure you are safe. Also they have all these historical and well as scientific tidbits to tell you about the area so you are really learning something which adds to it. It was really fun!

Soooooooooo much fun!!! A must do if you come to San Diego. The water was so clear (and we went on a day it was raining!) Really unique experience going through the caves.

This experience was amazing. We saw and learned so much about this protected space of the ocean. I loved Tiffany! She was so knowledge and hilarious. I’ll definitely be doing this again in the future.

Had a great time. The group was quiet so we tried to loosen everyone up. The tour guides were a lot of fun and supported our craziness!

Who knew a spin out in the California surf could be such a great time?! My fiancée-to-be and I had a great start to our weekend with a kayak tour of La Jolla marine reserve, and really enjoyed our time on the water. Our guides Maddie and Kristen (sp?) were absolutely hilarious and so welcoming, and were very knowledgeable about the area and it’s history. As a biologist, I was especially happy to hear so much about the ecology of the area, it’s development and the way locals are helping shape and preserve La Jolla’s unique biomes. Too cool! We highly recommend a tour with the team, and will be back the next time we’re in SoCal!
