What you'll do

You will have an authentic local experience of the life within an equine sanctuary that support sustainable, ethical, community-based tourism. We will share half-day with our 76 rescued donkeys and mules and our local staff and volunteers, learning a lot about the behaviour and care of equines and you will have the chance to even help us in rehabilitating them! We'll start the day with a tour in our Sanctuary, stop for a delicious Andalusian breakfast (coffee and mollete with ecological olive oil and tomatoes) and later we'll continue accompanying the staff to do the cures and give medicines, prepare special diets and feed donkeys. Finally, we'll participate in a positive training session to rehab scared or traumatized donkeys and mules.

Meet the donkeys

These 88 donkey and mule rescues are looking for love and affection. They love being fed, groomed, and hugged, and enjoy spending their free time bonding with humans. They’re friendly creatures looking for a second chance, and can’t wait to meet you.
