What you'll do
Estoi it's a place full of history, patrimony and culture but until now, there's no one that can show it's true richness. Our visit starts at Largo da Liberdade, the square where you can find the Church of São Martinho, giving you access to enter and visit the church. In the beautiful staircase of the church, you will hear about the curiosities of the village, including the stories of the locals. Then we will enter through the pearl of the village, the Palace. When entering by it's gates, you will be drowned by the history, beauty and it's particularities. We will visit the garden, the "Preguiças", the "azulejos", the staircases and the "coretos". Besides all of that, you will have time to take pictures on the most instagrammable and memorable places of the palace. Then you will meet the most portuguese street, Rua da Barroca. After that you will visit the square of Óssonoba and the church of "Pé da Cruz" that stages the most important festivity of the village, the famous "Festa da Pinha". Where you will hear all about it, specially it's uniqueness. At last but definitely not least, we will visit the most ancient place of the village, the Ruins of Milreu.
I grew up in this village. Estoi it's my land, a beautiful place, full of culture, history, legends and I truly believe, magic. All my life I've been helping people that visit daily, with indications, tips, advices and information. I've always wanted to do more, to get people to know and to meet Estoi in all it's greatness. I knew I had to do it but until now, I've never knew how. What I'm offering you, it's the vision of someone that knows every corner of one of the most ancient and full of history, village in the Algarve. Show the Palace and tell the story. Share the legends that I've been listening to since I was born, show the churches, one of them it's the stage of hundreds of weddings from all over the world, visiting the streets, the fountains and the Ruins. Estoi is an open stage of history and I think I'm the best option to show you it's true identity.
