What you'll do
We'll start from the old government wharf on the shores of Lake Te Anau, at the end of the main street. After a very light hearted safety brief and introduction we'll start cruising toward either Brody Bay or Dock Bay, about 20 minutes away from Te Anau. On the way you'll be invited to have a drink of your choice (we have quite a number to choose from!!) while listening to the history of Faith as she sailed from Scotland to New Zealand. On arrival we'll drop the anchor and turn off the engine to allow you enjoy the peace and quiet of the Fiordland National Park. We'll stay here for about 30 minutes while you enjoy individually plated canapés and complimentary unlimited drinks. At all times you can explore the ship, request a turn on the steering wheel, or just sit back and enjoy watching the gorgeous scenery pass by. Once you're ready, we'll leave the cove and hoist the sails for the return journey - which you can help us with if you choose. While we'd like to sail all the way home, it's usual to run the engine to get us home on time. We'll arrive back to the wharf after approximately 1.5 - 2 hours.
New Zealand born, I have lived in Te Anau for 6 years now. Originally working as a sea plane pilot, I have seen and enjoyed much of the Fiordland National Park, and love to show our passengers the stunning scenery we are surrounded by while cruising aboard Faith. My friend George and I built this experience as a result of our combined experience as concierges, delivering experiences, providing accommodation, and being involved in the local tourism community. I have no desire to be anywhere else in the world. I wake up every morning excited and truly grateful, and look forward to showing you around!!
Individually plated Canapés. Savoury and Sweet. Not a substitute for dinner, but still quite generous portions for this time…
We have a complimentary bar on board with all drinks except spirits. Your ticket entitles you to unlimited drinks.

Where you'll be
The sheltered cove that we visit is generally very calm, and we'll anchor close to the shore so you get a good look at the surround forest. You'll have views of the mountains and the lake, and it's usual that you have the place to yourself. These coves are based on the shore of the famous Kepler Track, and is a special way place to watch the sun lowering.
