What you'll do

First I will ask y'all the experience you have riding and what kind of ride you are looking for.

From there we will pick a trailhead and I can either meet y'all there or coordinate a pick up. I will bring the bikes, helmets, water, and all other equipment (pumps, extra tubes, etc.) to the location site.

Next we will go over what to expect on the ride and plan rest stops, a turn around point, and specific terrain to watch out for.

We will spend roughly two hours riding, and there will be plenty of opportunities for photos all along the way.

Hello! My name is Christopher and I am a very experienced cyclist from Austin! I know all the great road bike and mountain bike trails in this city. I have designed, planed, and lead over a dozen group rides with Texas 4000 for Cancer - an organization that cycles from Austin, TX. to Anchorage, Alaska. I trained my teammates to participate on this epic journey and so I have tons of experience educating novices on cycling, making calls, and riding safely. I love all types of riding, but especially mountain riding in Austin and would love to introduce y'all to the sport.

I vary the intensity of the ride based on the experience of my riders, but regardless of your skill level I have the experience, patience, and knowledge to help you enjoy an excellent ride!

See you out there!
Christopher

Where you'll be

We will ride either the Barton Creek Greenbelt or the Walnut Creek Metropolitan Park. Walnut Creek is more of a "trail/gravel ride" and Barton Creek has far more rocks, roots, and small drops to navigate.

The Barton Creek Greenbelt has a wonderful cold spring that is very refreshing to jump in after a long day! Its my favorite spot!

This mountain biking experience was a blast. I was visiting Austin alone, and wanted to ride but not alone. Christopher was kind, careful, supportive and made sure to make me happy. I had a great time, and I have a new friend.
