What you'll do

We will sample 10+kinds of feshly-made local snacks and drinks from a range of seated food shops or wall eateries in Niu Street within a 2-hour food tour.

*Want to know what traditional royal yogurt originated from Qing dynasty tastes like?

*Wondering why there is always a super long queue of local foodies waiting to buy freshly-made sesame buns and lamb from a time-honored restaurant "Jubaoyuan"?

*Wanna taste and tell the differences between Creamy Fried Cake v.s. Fried Cake(two of the most popular snacks among local Beijingers)?

*Curious about the background culture and history behind the foods?

*Hope to experience authentic Beijing food recommended by truely insiders?
...

Then this food tour is designed right for you. Why not step away from hotel buffet or unauthentic "Beijing foods" sold near tourist attractions, and experience some truely Beijing food with the company of a local guide? After all, the best way to explore a city is to do as locals do, eat what locals eat.

Do not worry about the language barrier, your experienced bilingual food guide will serve as an information bridge between you and the food vendors.

Hi, I am Song, a local Beijinger. I have worked in tourist industry for years and have been to 6 continents, 43 countries and tasted plenty of foods around the world. As a foodie, what I wanna recommend to you most, however, is the foods at Beijing Niu Street, a pretty famous food street in south Beijing that I walk by almost everyday(my home is very close to this street). Thanks to the short distance, I often stroll along Niu street and grab some of my favourite snacks from a range of local food vendors or time-honored shops there. Pround of these local hidden gems, I am passionate and excited to share them with the visitors. Believe me, words like "tasty" or "yummy" are far from enough to describe the rich and pleasant taste of foods there. Why not come hungry and experience a food tour in Niu Street guided by a local?
