What you'll do

The meeting point is Mamma Chica's Restaurant, where Francesco, the owner of the structure, will take you to his land where you can pick the fresh basil.

After you go to the restaurant where the hall will be set up with all the necessary. We'll start with the cleaning of basil and you'll learn the origins of basil and his ingredients, the reason why you have to follow all the steps of the recipe and little advice.

Then the production of the fresh pasta like tagliatelle o other that the group will decide alla togheter,
All the ingredient will be in the room also the mortar from Carrara to make the pesto.

Making pesto is relaxing and our location is sourrondend by greenery on La Spezia's hill, a perfect palce to have a relaxing and delicious day.
Our goal is to get in touch with the origins of the food and tell you the cooking culture in Liguria.

When all the ingredients will be ready, you'll start to cook and enjoy your meal with the group!

Everyone loves pesto!
I'm the owner of the restaurant inside the Farm Mamma Chica and I learned to make pesto since I was a child, like a real ligurian. It was one of the first recipe that my grandmother tought me. I love the idea to share with other people the real recipe of Ligurian Pesto.
Nothing is better than a good pesto made with fresh ingredients, according to tradition.

The structure is easily accesible from the train Station of La Spezia also Cinque Terre or Portovenere.
You can go by car and you can park in our parking or by bus.

We had an amazing time learning to make pasta and pesto! All the ingredients were provided! We were the only two couples in the class so we had a lot of Fun! After creating our meal, a dinning area was set up and we had the best pesto for lunch! No other pesto in cinque terre compared! Only wish there had been more feedback and specifics on the recipes.

Nous avons pu faire des tagliatelles et du pesto maison . Des explications claires. On se serait cru à la maison ! Nous avons visité la propriété avec le fils de notre professeure :). Le top : pouvoir déguster nos réalisations : un délice . Petit plus : la part de tarte fait maison et le digestif . Un repas complet dans un cadre super .

Francesco was great. He met us at train station as planned. The farmhouse is a once in a life time experience. We all LOVED the pesto and pasta making class followed by a wonderful lunch. We were able to tour the farm. Thank you so much for a fabulous day! Would HIGHLY recommend this experience to others.

We loved our time learning to make pasta and pesto. Welcoming, homely atmosphere, well prepared and excellent instruction from Sabrina. End result was delicious and beautifully served in the restaurant - we were spoiled and so happy to have had this experience.

My family and I had an amazing time and a once in a life time experience at Francesco's restaurant. Francesco was welcoming and the chef was the one who conducted the cooking class. She was very helpful and understood this was our first time making pesto and pasta. Everything was well thought out and made our experience personalized. While waiting for our pasta to cook, we took a break to venture around the land and make friends with their donkey, Jack! The pesto and pasta was amazing, and even better that we made it ourselves with fresh ingredients. Amazing experience, 100% recommend.
