What you'll do

At 3,343m, Marmolada is the highest peak in the Dolomites Mountain Range and a true paradise for freeride skiers. Join me on this off-piste skiing day and I'll show you all of my favorite spots: wide open runs, steep couloirs and lots of deep powder snow!

What I love about skiing on Marmolada is that it is a great place to learn the basics of freeride skiing. This group experience is targeted to good skiers who are giving their first steps off-piste. Take into account that you should be comfortable skiing on black runs within resort boundaries to join.

During our day together, we’ll ski down one of the sides of Marmolada. We will go up to its second highest point, Punta Rocca (3,265m), and from there enjoy an amazing off-piste ski descent of more than 1,000m to Lago di Fedaia, a beautiful mountain lake at 2,000m. You won't believe the views along the way!

If there are 3 or more of you in your party, contact me directly and I'll offer you a good discount.

I have been skiing in Marmolada since I was a kid and followed my father, who is also a mountain guide, all around the mountain. I am excited to show you all my favorite runs in this area that I love so much. Come join me!

We, Gauthier and Etienne, have been offering mountain trips in the Dolomites for many years. Etienne is a certified ski instructor and mountain guide based in Val di Fassa, in these beautiful mountains. He learned to guide from his father who is also a guide and who would take him on his climbing and skiing trips when he was a child. He became a ski instructor at 19 and then an IFMGA-certified guide at 21 and has been guiding in the Dolomites ever since.

Gauthier will be your main point of contact during the whole booking process.

We had a great day skiing off piste with Etienne on Marmolada. He is a superb off piste mountain guide, and having grown up skiing on the mountain with his father who is also a mountain guide, he has a vast knowledge of the Mountain and the conditions, together with the local history. The communication and advice in advance of the trip was also excellent, particularly regarding the best places in the area to hire skis and avalanche equipment. In summary, I have no hesitation in recommending Gauthier and Etienne - we had a superb day and would very highly recommend this trip.

My teenage daughters and I (50+ year old) are accomplished skiers, but strictly "on-piste". We had a fantastic guided experience organized by Gauthier with Enrico (International Association of Mountain Guides certified). Enrico met us at our hotel, evaluated our equipment (made a little adjustment for me and we traded my slalom cut skis for a pair which were a bit fatter under foot), equipped us with avalanche transceivers, assessed our skiing ability and then lead us on several descents down the Sass Pordoi (western side and front face). Jaw dropping vistas, totally clear blue skies and incredibly windy. It was challenging and fulfilling and great introduction to off-piste which I thoroughly enjoyed.

Une journée incroyable en compagnie d’un vrai expert qui sait non seulement vous donner des conseils techniques très utiles pour s’améliorer mais aussi qui vous emmène dans des endroits dont lui seul à le secret!

An epic skiing trip with Enrico. The runs were full of powder and the descents were full on. I never felt in danger as Enrico knew all about the snow and weather conditions of the area, which allowed us to relax and concentrate only on skiing.
