Hi Friends, I am co-founder at Ultimate Urban Adventure and providing authentic local experiences with city guides. Our activities gives you insights on Indian culture & allows you to be a part of it. I am a highly qualified tour guide myself and have been working in the travel industry for more than 14 years, both in India and Nepal. I traveled with small to big -sized groups, families, photographers, LGBT and I love to combine rural life with historic places, nature and outdoor adventures. I definitely recommend home-cooked traditional meals with local families

My co-host is Govind who is born and brought up in Pushkar. He is knowledgeable and you will enjoy your Pushkar experience with him.

Travelling to Pushkar with Monty was a great experience and a special way to see and feel this holy city. After wandering the lake area, we explored some places off the tourist trail and meet up with families producing marble items and threads. Monty is so well travelled and happy to share his unique stories. As a female travelling alone in India I felt safe at all times and highly recommend Monty for any of your travel needs.

Overall decent experience. A few remarks, however, need to be made. 1) The tour is booked with the Hosts Monty & Harshita, who describe themselves as "I am a highly qualified tour guide and have been working in the travel industry for more than 14 years..." etc. and refer to their co-host Raj ("...an open minded person and like to share travel stories, talk about social life, heritage, history, wildlife, local culture etc. he enjoys creating unique and interesting tours for travellers. You will enjoy a superior level of service along with the insightful local knowledge that gives you an unparalleled immersion in the culture of India.") Note you will (likely?) meet none of these people. I only had brief contact with Monty per whatsapp and phone. 2) In essence Monty is booking a taxi for you and a local tour guide to provide a walking tour of Pushkar, which is Govind in my case. So note in any case that the drive to and from Pushkar is simply a local (taxi?) driver. Although it is noted that the tour is in full 'Hosted in English', the driver in my case didn't speak English. It is simply a taxi drive to Pushkar, don't expect more than this. 3) The description of the tour states: On arrival to Pushkar meet our co-host Raj or Govind and learn about Pushkar over a drink by Pushkar lake. Please note that drinks are not included in the tour cost. Whereas the tour also states in the section "What is included" the note that drinks are included. Note, no drinks are included and all consumptions are for your own costs. Next to that, I had a good and enjoyable overview of Pushkar discussed by my host Govind in a nearby mandir near the parking lot of the taxi driver. This is fine, but it wasn't a learning of Pushkar over a drink by Pushkar Lake provided by Monty nor Raj. 4) Overall the tour was decent. We saw the Brahma Temple, went to Pushkar Lake (where you can partake in a ceremony if you want...albeit keep in mind that you wil be asked for a 'voluntary' donation by the priest). We walked around the market, with Govind showing a few shops here and there. We had lunch at a nice place near Pushkar lake called 'Doctor Alone'. Afterwards we walked towards the Sikh temple, took note of it outside, and then the tour ended. Govind was a knowledgable guy as a local from Pushkar and I enjoyed his company. He was keen on making sure I was getting out of the tour what I wanted, asking me if I wanted to see or do anything specific (I didn't prepare on telling my tourguide what to show me exactly...so can't judge on what I maybe or maybe not missed out on). Overall it was a good experience, since it provides decent value for money and it takes away all the hassle of arranging things (which can be challenging in India). Only remark to be made is to manage your expectations (which should be the case anyway in India ;-) ), and expect: 1) a taxi drive from/to Pushkar, 2) A decent local tour guide to give a 3 hour overview of Pushkar. Thanks for the tour.
