What you'll do

Spend a pleasant afternoon painting watercolor in a beautiful space.

Each week I design a different class in which you'll learn basic watercolor techniques to develop your imagination. I have a sample of techniques that you can learn.

Some of the topics I can teach you: use of the brush, theory of color, calligraphy, composition, wet on wet, wet on dry, textures, volume, light and shadow and figurative image and abstract image.

In these two hours, I will teach you how to use the colors and I will help you finish a beautiful postcard for you.

The session has 5 parts:
- Welcome: we will get together to know your interests.
- Warm-up: same as in the gym, but we will warm the movements of our hand.
- Learning the technique: Teach a specific technique.
- Experimentation: Let's forget the rules. We are interested in creating something new and experiment.
- Feedback: How did you feel? It is important for me to know.

We will illustrate while we talk and drink traditional fresh water and eat snacks.

Gabriel was so welcoming. He gave us an interesting perspective on watercoloring. It was a lot of fun but also super chill experience.

Gabriel teaches at the University in Mexico and after 10 years has recently returned home to Oaxaca. You got a great sense of the love he has for the town and his roots. He started the class with a practice his teacher taught him which was both unique and remarkably insightful. Me and my fiancé had a great experience and Gabriel made us feel instantly at ease, even coming to find us when we got lost.

Im so happy I stumbled upon this experience! I spend the afternoon learning about watercolours in such a warm and relaxed way. I felt very welcome and enjoyed the way Gabriel shared his knowledge and made it very accessible (even for someone like me who rarely paints!). I would def recommend this experience ✨

This is a really fun and relaxing experience! Gabriel guides you through the process with some warm up exercises, so even if you're a beginner, you'll end up with something to be proud of. Definitely recommended!

This experience has been something special I have lived. At the end of the class I could let flow my creativity much better than at the beginning and I just went away from his home with a big smile and full of enthusiasm. Time flew away so fast cause we were enjoying it fully. Gabriel is not just an artist and a wonderful teacher, but also a guide. Don’t miss this experience if you are in Oaxaca, cause we all need to go back to our creativity as we were child. This experience is not just about learning technique of watercolor, but has an inner deeper side, that you will love to live as I did. On top you will do it in a beautiful location. I would do it again and again and again. Thank u Gabriel!
