Everything about Kimchi!
You will learn to make 4 authentic Kimchi using Korean cabbage ( Baechu Kimchi ) , radish ( Kkakdugi ) and cucumber ( Oi Sobagi ). Especially for cabbage Kimchi, you will learn how to make Kimchi for a long term ( Gimjang Kimchi ) and short term ( Geotjeori ). After cooking, you will enjoy Kimchi with boiled pork like what Korean do with family on 'Kimchi making day'.

Small class ( group of less than 4 people ) is led by certified Korean chef Jomin in English, and conducted in her own home kitchen around Hongdae area. Before class, you will enjoy local market tour as well.

This is not a demo class, but a hands on class you prepare ingredients from scratch. So you can repeat healthy Kimchi making back at home for your beloved family and friends. During the class, you become friends sharing your passion about food, culture, and travel.

I worked 10 years as a travel writer, and have been to more than 50 countries. While traveling to South East Asia for 5 months I took a Thai cooking class which changed my life. Taking cooking classes during a travel is not just a way to learn cooking skill, it's also a way to discover a culture and make friends. I am now a certificated Korean cook and run authentic Korean cooking class, Kimchi making class, tofu making class and Banchan (side dish ) class around Hongdae area.

Jomin’s kimchi making class was very enjoyable & a great learning experience for me. Being Korean-American, I watched my mom make kimchi. So, I finally gave it a try. And failed! I had pretty given up on making my own kimchi. I’m so glad I took this class before heading back to the US. I was lucky enough to be the only participant so it was taught at a very easy-going pace. She was very patient & her instructions were very easy to follow along. I made 4 different types of kimchi & got to take them home in a nice reusable container. Jomin also made sooyook ( boiled pork) that was really good. And she made kimchi pancake with “old” kimchi & offered me rice wine, which is my favorite! She also gives you a recipe book she put together with a lot of good recipes in it - very colorfully put together with pictures & step by step instructions that are easy to follow. I left feeling more confident that I can (successfully) make kimchi when I return home. I highly recommend this class!! Thank you Jomin!!

This is a "MUST DO" experience when you come to Seoul. Whether you are new to Kimchi or a seasoned veteran, this interactive class will be a blast! Jomin makes the learning process fun while teaching about the ingredients necessary to make kimchi, and walking you through the step-by-step process on how to create this traditional delicacy. Prior to the class there is a tour of a local market adjacent to Jomin's home. This is a wonderful addition to the class, as Jomin shows you what ingredients to buy and where you can find them when you want to make kimchi on your own. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for an easy hands-on cultural adventure.

This kimchi class was great. We loved kimchi before but now, that we got taught so well and detailed how to do it ourself we won't ever have live without it. The different kinds of Kimchi Jomin teaches you so patiently are all delicious and she explains why you put what very well. Would definitely recommend to everybody that likes kimchi. She made something that looks so difficult easy. Thank you very much for that opportunity.

In addition to the actual cooking, I learned a lot about the historical and cultural background of kimchi and Korean cuisine, which made the experience very well rounded. I would highly recommend this class.
