What you'll do

This tour is not just for Photographers but also anyone who wants to experience Southern California's breathtaking Seascapes and Wildlife up close and personal!

We will meet at our first location for introductions and a quick briefing about what wildlife we might encounter and how to create the best photographs for each situation.

We walk along the shoreline finding local animals and capture them with our cameras. If you do not have a professional camera do not worry. You can use your phones cameras as well. The California Coast is rich with shorebirds, as well as tons of marine life. You may see a Harbor Seal resting on a nearby rock or see a whale or dolphin swimming by. We will also see the local flowers that attract Butterflies and Hummingbirds to the area. During our tour we will make our way to a hidden Pirate Tower.

For the Photographers I will be there to guide you and give you tips on how to be capture your subjects with your cameras, once you are more familiar we will explore other areas and you are free to roam around and shoot as long as you want. It will be a great photo hunting adventure with a great educational experience. During the trip I will take pictures of your experience and will make available a link for you to download the pictures of your experience as a keepsake.

Where you'll be

We will photograph wildlife along the Laguna Beach Coastline exploring the unique protected marine areas including the tide-pools and sea-caves. You'll see why Laguna Beach was named one of the cleanest beaches in the U.S. We will explore the "Pirate Tower" that was built along the cliff and discover beautiful flowers, butterflies and hummingbirds.

This is a great experience for anyone who loves wildlife and sea life. Jennifer led us to places along the beach that we wouldn't have necessarily gone ourselves. Those spots are where I feel like I got the best photos as well. She is very knowledgeable and I feel like I learned more about both photography and wildlife. The walk does take place along the beach and you may need to cross some water so be prepared with either water resistant shoes/pants or wear sandals and shorts. Thank you so much again for a wonderful time!

Jennifer was an extremely accommodating and knowledgable host! Due to still learning to navigate LA traffic snarls, we were an hour late to the tour-- instead of leaving us behind, Jennifer and one other guest stayed near the initial meeting spot until we arrived, which was very generous! Throughout the tour, she was patient when any of us would suddenly stop in our tracks to pop off some shots of whatever happened to catch our eye; you can tell she is knowledgeable and practiced in her craft, through her tidbits on wildlife and understanding the patterns and habits of each animal we encountered. Jennifer also put up with my incessant questions about how to become a better nature photographer, giving me advice I can't wait to put into practice! Since every tour is different, depending on the seasons and animals (wish we could have seen some seals, this time), it was an extremely dynamic experience which we felt we couldn't have gotten back home in Hawaii, and we're already excited to be back and shoot alongside Jennifer again soon!
