(2) Learn Hiroshima's past, present and future through stories from locals.

(3) Feel the revitalized Hiroshima. We invite you to activities that promote peace such as paper crane making.

(4) All the entrance fees to the museums and a lunch is included.

Here is a message from one of our team members.

"Hi! I was born and raised in Hiroshima and have heard a lot about the war experience from my mom and grand parents, which makes me commit myself to world peace. We started this Hiroshima Peace tour not only to share some sad and moving stories but also to let you know how we recovered from such a tragedy. In this tour, we will guide you not only to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome but also to some local preserve scenes of the atomic bomb by walk. After that, we will take you to Orizuru Tower to make a paper crane, which has a special meaning in Japan, "Praying for Peace". So, if you're interested, don't hesitate! It would be great if we can introduce to you our beautiful hometown, Hiroshima :)"

Thank you for reading through. We can’t wait to see you soon!

Hi there! I’m Shoto. After graduation, I moved to Myanmar and worked there for 2 and a half years. Then, I came back to Japan two years ago and started guiding people visiting Japan because I wanted them to know more about Japan, especially Hiroshima. I’m doing this Hiroshima peace walking experience with some friends, who are originally from Hiroshima. We started this tour because we wanted you to know more deeply not only about Hiroshima’s tragic history but also how we’ve been achieving the revitalisation from the tragedy, which we think you couldn’t really do without talking with the locals. Let us introduce to you our beautiful city, Hiroshima!

This tour was fantastic. He walked us around to the museum and helped us walk through that, answering all our questions. He also walked us to many monuments and told us the history of them. Lunch was delicious and authentic! Finally, we finished by building a crane and adding it thousands and thousands of others to wish for peace. Very powerful, insightful, and friendly tour.

We had Peach (Momo) for our tour and she was SUPER lovely and easy to get along with. My boyfriend and I felt very welcome, and get English was great so conversation was easy. She had personal ties to the Hiroshima bombing, so she was able to give the tour with some personal insight. We would definitely do this tour again - even if it was just to hangout with Peach and the other tourists and eat Okonomiyaki together.

Found the walking tour to be great in the sense that we were able to experience the museum, sites and monuments around Hiroshima at our own pace. Our guide Momo made the tour really pleasurable, providing info and answering any questions we had. She also added her families own personal experiences with Hiroshima which was a fitting touch. We had a tasty lunch provided, with a fantastic view over Hiroshima and folding paper cranes was the perfect end to the tour. Momo's english was excellent also! I messed up our travel plans which meant we missed the start of the tour, but Shoto was able to make a quick change of plans via messaging on the app to accomodate this and we had a great day out. Finally after meeting another guide Key, both were happy to provide further info on other sites around Hiroshima including the castle, and Momo followed up any unanswered questions and further sites of interested via email.

While the host was wonderful, we felt surprised it was a tour company and not a local person from Hiroshima. We signed up for this tour because it was advertised as historical and with someone from Hiroshima. Our guide lived an hour away and wasn’t able to contribute much depth to the history that we could read ourselves. We craved immersion but we instead had a wonderful human waiting for us to make our way through the museum quietly. She definitely walked around with us and eased the place to place finding, but she was unable to contribute depth in the form of stories, and scratching beyond what we could read on our own. We felt a bit misled that the tour was sold as personal and intimate with deep insights of someone who had parents and grandparents from Hiroshima and then received a follow up message saying it may be someone else. We then learned from our host that it’s a tour company advertising on Airbnb so obviously not the person who was presented on the profile for listing. We would’ve been ok with a different host, so long as the host was from Hiroshima and had depth in its history. We wanted to learn more beyond what we read in the museum. Our host did her best. She was kind, warm and helpful. The tour company should accurately reflect this as a tour, not an intimate story/experience from locals of Hiroshima. That is misleading.
