I'm Umberta and I learnt with Simon, "maestro gelatiere" the fascinating process of making ice cream. Only a few ice cream parlors prepare the white base (most use a ready-made base) and very few use a different base for every taste. Rigoletto, founded in 1954, carefully respects the ancient procedures and had been chosen to represent Italian ice cream in the Italian pavilion during Expo 2015.

What we’ll do
Upon arrival, the guests will be welcomed into our ice-cream shop and after a short presentation they will be accompanied to a laboratory where they will be equipped with a disposable apron. Simon, the teacher "gelatiere" , will show the main ingredients of ice cream, their provenance and explain the importance they have in the production of artisan ice cream.
