Fostering Education & Environment for Development, Inc. ("FEED") is a non-stock, non-profit, non-govt organisation dedicated to helping restore and rehabilitate Philippine ecosystems (Ridge to Reef / Summit to Sea / Landscape & Seascape Management) by engaging companies, NGOs and the public at large to plant more trees, reefs and nutrition based edible gardens - organically. My name is Anne-Marie Mananquil Bakker, Director of Partnerships and one of the founders of FEED, loving what I do because it is nature-based and nature-loving. I left my full time corporate jobs in 2013 around the world to do what I love, and love what I do in the #2 climate disaster risk prone country in the world (Philippines). And by doing so, I hope to share the blessings of the land and sea forests with you too! Looking to PhD in Sustainable Forestry <3!

Where you'll be

You will experience a part of the Sierra Madres Mountain Range, longest mountain range in the Philippines - where FEED has a lifelong partnership with the Laguna Quezon Land Grant site managed by forest guards. We call this our Climate Change 101 Tree-Planting / Reforestation experience, where you will trek through primary tropical forest cover about 1,650 ft up, visit our native Philippine seeding nurseries, lake, rivers, and pure oxygen.

We really enjoyed this experience as we felt the passion of the foresters to save Sierra Madre. It made us more aware of climate change and what we could do to help as individuals.
