About your host

I studied textiles at university and since then I’ve continued to use my skills, including indigo dyeing and silk-screen printing. I currently teach textiles to foundation students at University for the Creative Arts and have my own workshop business where I teach textiles for corporate events, bachelorette parties, and private events.

What we’ll do

I will transform The Arches at Ministry of Sound into a printing studio for you to silk-screen onto your own clothing and material items. If you have a t-shirt or a selection of items that need a bit of wow factor, bring them to this fun evening and transform them with your own designs. We’ll begin by going through the process and printing tools, and then I’ll demonstrate how to silk-screen print…

What else you should know

If you have time and the materials to do so, try making your own stencils at home so you can spend more time printing. Keep the design simple and no bigger than A3 size, which is 11.7 x 16.5 inches.

What I’ll provide

Equipment
Printing equipment, inks

What to bring

An item to print onto
Images for stencil inspiration - optional
Aprons are provided, however the inks stain and you may want to bring an extra layer to protect your cloths
