What you'll do

Maceió is one of this profound cities that doesn't show itself easily. It's beauties and treasures are not on the surface of "water's paradise", as the city is known. Maceió's richness is its people and there is no better place to see the real city than downtown, which is the city's ground zero and commercial center.

The idea is to experience the real city, with all its contradictions and beauties. We'll meet at Praça dos Palmares, and begin an individual walk. Each one of us will carry a map for directions. The idea is to enter the unknown and observe ways of life, city organizations and buildings that differ from what we are accustomed to. After 30 minutes, we'll return to Praça dos Palmares and talk about what we've just experienced and the things that moved us the most. We can do that by talking, drawing, creating a common narrative, writing a poem, whatever comes to mind. The important thing is being a common construction. Depending on what comes up, we can also visit other common points of interest in the neighbourhood.

If you're looking for a different way of discovering a city, with great amount of history, local culture and reflexion (oh, and precious tips) book this experience and let's get to know Maceió better together. What do you think?

I'm a Urban Planner and Architect who loves talking about people's experience in the cities. Born and raised in Maceió, I love my city especially for all its popular culture and history. Also, I love to see a city's memory through its buildings. I believe there's no better way to get to know a place than entering its local dynamics and observing its people's daily routine and habits. And that's exactly what I'm inviting you to do with me. So, let's dive in the profound beauties of Maceió together?
