What you'll do
We will meet and greet guests at Black Rock Car Park, Madeira Drive, Brighton. After introductions, our guests will be shown how to ride the Penny Farthing bicycle in a safe area nearby for an hour and a half. After a short rest break, we will escort our guests on a guided bicycle tour along the seafront and other famous Brighton landmarks. Neil Laughton is the founder of the Penny Farthing Club and hosts the Penny Farthing Bike Tour in London. Mark Newman hosts in Brighton and Alberto Bona in Bath. We all have many years experience riding and teaching novices the art of riding a Penny Farthing bicycle. We are all international Penny Farthing Polo players, hold four cycling Guinness World Records between us and Neil has even cycled a Penny Farthing from Lands End to John O’Groats (874 miles in 11 days).
Where you'll be
The Penny Farthing Bike Tour Brighton starts with a safety training session on Madeira Drive, a stone’s throw from the sea. After learning to ride our guests will head for the streets of Brighton and along the cycle lanes. We will ride past Brighton Palace Pier, the historic West Pier and other famous landmarks including the British Airways i360.
Things to know
Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.
Up to 4 guests ages 18 and up can attend.
Guests can arrive with family and friends who may like to watch or photograph the training session in Madeira Drive and then meet again there at the end of the bike tour.
