What you'll do

I'll have the pleasure of sharing this unique experience with you, cooking authentic venetian recipes and teaching the techniques to carry them out.
I will lead you on a journey of discovery that will unfold from the historic Rialto market in the pulsating center of the city, where we'll choose the best fresh ingredients, up to my home in San Tomà, with its charming private courtyard, where we'll prepare a starter, a main dish and a dessert, which you can easily replicate with your guests once you get home.
After we've prepared the lunch, we'll have the chance to get to know each other better by sitting down to enjoy it together with a bottle of Prosecco or others local wines.

Hi, I'm Filippo, a Venetian chef passionate about traditional cuisine, with an added touch of originality. I learnt how to cook traditional recipes with my grandma, passed down through my family. I began my career in the renowned restaurants of my region, including the Locanda Cipriani in Torcello and the Baita Piè Tofana in Cortina d’Ampezzo. To expand my knowledge I moved to Paris, where I learned the techniques and secrets of French haute cuisine, working at the 3 Michelin starred Chef Yannick Alléno's Terroir Parisien, at the Jules Verne restaurant in the Eiffel tower run by the famous Chef Alain Ducasse and and at the restaurant chef Christian Constant's Les Cocottes.
After four-year experience in the French capital, I improved my English in Manchester working at the fine dining restaurant 63 Degrees under the guidance of Chef Eric Moreau.

Filipino Was a great host, not only did we have a great experience cooking with him but on the way to his flat he gave us a lot of history and showed us some very interesting historic places. The food we prepared and cooked was excellent, we had a chance to participate in all aspects of the prep. Filipino was great at explaining not only the menu but a little about each ingredient we used and why.

Our party of four met Filippo at the market and he took us on a tour of the market as well as some of the local areas. We prepared our meal in a spotlessly clean kitchen where we all had the opportunity to participate in the process while being instructed by Filippo. We are looking forward to recreating the dishes when we get home. Don’t hesitate to book this class-you will thoroughly enjoy it.

Fabulous cooking experience!! Filippo was a great instructor and made the cooking lesson fun. We made scallops, baked stuffed tomatoes, clams spaghetti and tiramisu, all enjoyed with copious glasses of Prosecco. Go and have a fun experience in Venice!!

Filippo was warm and welcoming. The tour of market place and local community was enjoyable and informative. The menu selections were fabulous, and delicious. Filippos passion for sharing his expertise was appreciated, and we were all actively involved in every step of the preparation, and especially enjoying the meal together and socializing. This was a wonderful experience and would recommend without hesitation!

Highly recommend this experience. Filippo is a true Venetian chef with a passion for what he does.
