What you'll do
We will be exploring Land’s End, a gorgeous light hiking trail that curves along the cliffs of the Pacific Ocean. To begin we will visit the site of what was once a bustling public baths, and pop into a natural cave formation. We will walk along the coastline admiring the intense natural coast of San Francisco while we are constantly reminded of the “hand of man” each time we catch a glimpse of the gorgeous Golden Gate Bridge. After enjoying the rugged coastline, we fall out into Seacliff, a very posh multi-million dollar neighborhood lined with gorgeous homes, a neighborhood currently home to the owner of the Giant’s baseball team. We will also walk by the former home of the much loved (and missed) Robin Williams. We will gently peek into front yards and admire manicured gardens and incredible views. Finally, we will wander down a small dead end street and find a little trail that takes us to famous Baker Beach, with its iconic "movie star" view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We also get to enjoy the amazing juxtaposition of wild nature and controlled nurture, the Pacific Coast versus the mansions of Seacliff. This is all in my neighborhood, and I love to share it with visitors!
I am a San Francisco native obsessed with walking! I have been exploring San Francisco by foot for as long as I can remember and I have applied my pedestrian vision to explorations of Paris, London, Rome. I have created and led Architectural walking tours in the South of France and I have taken many walking tours in cities all over Europe. This is not just the best way to explore a city, it is the only way to be comfortably introduced to a city. Instead of being glued to google maps, I am here to show you the pleasures of San Francisco on foot.

This is a light hike/neighborhood walk so being comfortable is a must. We will also be walking down to a beach. Because it is San Francisco and this is the Pacific Ocean, be aware it can be a little chillier here than other parts of the city.
