About your host, Rory
I am New York: I am Norwegian, Irish, Scottish, English, Nigerian, a ballerina, an award winning broadway actor, and a musician. A lethal combo for a master storyteller of immigration. My passions have made me one of the most sought-after licensed guides in New York. So, please join me in examining an era of accelerated progress for immigrants and minorities—Prohibition, told by a true New Yorker.
What we’ll do
New York has always beckoned me, and I often feel as though I embody the ongoing narrative that the city draws us ever deeper into. So, walk with me as I retrace the immigrant progress toward the American Dream during Prohibition. As a master of the art of storytelling, I’ll guide you into one of New York's last-standing 1920s speakeasies and tell the tale of the period’s most notorious gangsters …
What I’ll provide
Sample cocktail 󲀃
An original sample of a Prohibition-style cocktail will be handed out at the first location.

Physical restraints 󵀁
This is a 1.5 mile walking tour please be able to walk this distance at a moderate walking pace.

Where we’ll be
We begin in Midtown at an original speakeasy—the speakeasy of all speakeasies. We will then enter a Gilded Age bar celebrating the greatest catalyst to Prohibition. We will end at one of the oldest Irish bars in New York, and celebrate the end of Prohibition together.
