What you'll do

Your professionally guided hiking adventure will begin at the Stanley Glacier Trailhead which is located on HWY93S. Once at the trailhead we will review our hiking plan for the day and sign liability waivers.

We will enjoy our adventure at a comfortable and relaxed pace. There will be plenty of breaks for water and or snacks where your professional guide will provide you with interpretive information on the area. We will continue on to our lunch location onto of a a glacial moraine and spend some time searching for the World Famous Burgess Shale Fossils. On this trip, there will be plenty of time to relax, take photos and explore the area.

As certified professional interpreters we can give you a next-level experience, with exclusive insight into the natural history, geology and wildlife of the Canadian Rockies. We uncover the stories behind the jaw dropping landscapes and leave you feeling a sense of connection to these special places.

After lunch we will make our way back to the trailhead where we conclude our hike.

The Stanley Glacier hike is rated as Moderate and is 10km return (6.3miles) and 450m(1476ft) in elevation gain. Please allow 7 hours to complete this hike.

I am a certified Professional Interpretive Guide with the Interpretive Guides Association and hold a valid Advanced Wilderness First Aid Certification.

I have been a professional guide, owned and operated my own guiding business since 2018 and possess all the proper permits and liability insurance required to guide within Banff,, Yoho and Kootenay National Parks. Previously I was also employed as a Burgess Shale Interpretive Guide and Visitor Services Attendant with Parks Canada.

As a professionally certified guide, your safety and satisfaction are my highest priority.

Where you'll be

We will be exploring the BC/AB border along the Continental Divide in Kootenay National Park BC. The trailhead is located approximately 25mins from Lake Louise.
