In the apartment you will find a mixed use of old & new decor- my Great Grandmother's bed frame- paired with a blocky modular sofa: an abstract print along side a Japanese woodblock print. You will find your environment inviting, open and simple. Despite being close to the CBD the nights are quiet and the day time has a busy hum about it. South Melbourne is the real hidden gem of Melbourne. If you love the café culture Melbourne is famous for then South Melbourne is the ideal location for you. Only 2km from the central business district- nestled between South bank and Albert Park, South Melbourne offers the best of both worlds. Feel like a stroll on the beach? Jump on the #1 tram and be lounging in the Port Melbourne sand with in 10 minutes. Wallet weighing you down? Lighten it up with a shopping trip into the city. Don't feel like leaving the block for a coffee? You will find a café right at your finger tips. But I cannot recommend South Melbourne Market enough. And if you are lucky enough to stay during Thursday- Night Market (Jan & Feb) you will be treated to something really special. No doubt you will find South Melbourne to be a comfortable and lovely retreat.

Walk to Albert Park Lake in under 10 minutes. Walk to the city centre along the river in half an hour. 3 different trams within 5 minutes walk.
Attractive small space off the main house foyer. Comfortable double bed on a low ceilinged platform. Quality linen. Small desk, free WiFi. Adjoining powder room with good shower. Fridge and kettle. This is a very comfortable, oasis on the edge of the city. Your courtyard is cool and green, bathed in natural light, a relaxing escape from the day. Perfect for a couple or a couple of friends or a solo traveller, there is plenty of wardrobe space for two. An iron and ironing board is included. The kitchenette is small but functional. Great for breakfast or more if you like, it comes with a microwave, kettle, toaster and a hot plate and small fridge. There is a mini dishwasher as well. There is a charcoal bbq in the courtyard. I hope you will have a relaxing enjoyable stay.
South Melbourne is just past the city. Home of the Grand Prix, MSAC pool, the Athletics track, sailing and golf. The South Melbourne Market, Crown Casino, South Melbourne Beach and Albert Park Lake are all within walking distance. It is close to the Port of Melbourne and the Spirit of Tasmania, an ideal locale for all your Melbourne adventures. Famous for having a pub on every corner, lots of live music and coffee to die for, the food is also amazing. We are opposite a Hotel which is great for business, meals and drinks. The local shops are one block away and everything you need is on your doorstep

Perfect Pied-à-Terre! Convenient location! This is my 2nd home - comfortable and spacious - ideally for 1 or 2 people. I love staying here when I come into the city to Melbourne Convention Centre, for work or weekends away. It has all the essential home-comfort amenities. While I am not staying here, I would like to share it with others so they can experience the reasons why I love staying at this place so much. I love South Melbourne!!! It is a short walk or tram ride into CBD - take tram no. 12 on Clarendon Street. If you take Tram 12 travelling the other way, it will take you to Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre and then onwards to St. Kilda. It is walking distance to the beautiful Albert Park Lake and if you want a longer walk, you can walk to The Botanical Garden and Shrine of Remembrance. You can even take a tram to the beach - South Melbourne beach! You can take tram no. 1 at corner of Clarendon Street and Park Street - make sure that you catch the tram on the right side of the street, otherwise it will take you to Toorak Road - another shopping and cafe mecca! The apartment is close to the Clarendon Street shopping village where you can find supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, pubs, wine bars, chemists, doctors, trendy boutiques and so much more! South Melbourne market is one place that you must check out! It is within walking distance to the apartment. This market opens on Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. It is a true tourist icon - full of organic and gourmet produce, special gift stores but you can also find everyday items. Around the market are cafes, restaurants, pubs, wine store, home linen stores, furniture stores, a hardware store (the only one in South Melbourne) and unique gift shops.

A wonderful friendly village-like atmosphere full of fabulous restaurants, cafes, artistic characters and designer shops next to the bay, yet only minutes from the city. No wonder it's regarded as Melbourne's best location! All of Melbourne is on your doorstep plus excellent public transport. Many locals say, if they could live anywhere in Melbourne, it would be Albert Park. Why?, I'll let you be the judge!
Avalon (the name of the apartment) is a hidden little gem with a very relaxed feel. Art Deco styled, it has been renovated with polished wooden floors throughout, modern kitchen with everything you could need, private bathroom and a very comfy queen sized bed and sofa. The sofa can double as a bed for third person. I have AirCon, WIFI, Netflix, an apple desk top and a great smart TV after a full day of adventure. There are 2 balconies (front and rear ) for your use. It has a self shutting security gate and is very safe - Mostly I just leave the doors and windows wide open in summer! It is a wonderful place to chill. I also provide a permit for unlimited parking right outside the apartment as well as a couple of Myki cards for your use on public transport. I provide self check in so your arrival time is not restricted. Avalon is located amongst Melbourne's most prestigious real estate. It is a low density area with a relaxed feel to it and strict planning controls have prevented the multi-story apartment developments enveloping the rest of Melbourne. Apartment 8 is one of just nine apartments in a gorgeous 1930s Art Deco building. It's on the top floor, with great views of the city. Fully renovated, with Bosch appliances, stone benchtops and tasteful furnishings, Apartment 8 has a well equipped kitchen, large bathroom/laundry, free Wi-Fi, a main bedroom with queen-sized bed and built-in robes and a smaller second bedroom with a single bunk bed over a double bed, built-in robe and a small desk. The second bedroom is best suited to younger children or up to two adults, but can accommodate three adults (weight limits apply). Our family very happily lived in Apartment 8 for seven months, until March 2019, while we renovated our home two blocks away. During our stay, we added many items to make it comfortable for longer-term stays, such as storage baskets in the closets, robe hooks and extra shelving in the kitchen and shower. The neighbours are friendly and quiet and are mostly owners or long-term renters.
Park Gate is located in South Melbourne's best residential pocket, surrounded by grand terrace houses, cute weatherboard cottages and beautiful gardens. Most of the houses are well over 100 years old, as South Melbourne was one of Melbourne's earliest suburbs. The adjacent suburb of Albert Park also has many grand old homes, as well as plenty of pubs, cafes and shops - and of course the beach and a large lake and parklands.
