Private entrance, private studio, great location. This is much more than a private room - it is a sealed off private studio ( but no kitchen), superbly located in Zone 1, part of our family home, a few minutes walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras stations, close to Exmouth Market and Lambs Conduit St which both have great London village feel.
Studio in our family house (although no kitchen as it isn't the whole flat). We live in the house with our three children. Newly decorated basement bedroom and bathroom with your own front door. The room is in the basement of a Georgian house on a busy but safe street just off the Gray's Inn Road. The location is very central and you can walk to many of the new shops and restaurants at Kings Cross and St Pancras, but we are also close to Exmouth Market and The Brunswick shopping centre.
We are based 5 mins from Kings Cross tube station. As well as the train and the six tube lines, we also have great bus network from here. We are 5 -10 minutes walk from the Brunswick centre which has great shops, restaurants and the Renoir Cinema. There are some small museums nearby, including the Foundling Museum, The Dickens Museum and you can also walk to the British Museum but it is a bit further. However, all of London is easy to access from here using public transport.

Bloomsbury exudes high culture without pretenses. Known for its array of specialised institutions, Bloomsbury remains mild-mannered despite its cultural bragging rights. We’ll brag for it—the neighbourhood gave its name to an influential group of English intellectuals, including Virginia Woolf. Garden squares and Victorian era hotels contribute to the streetscape’s nonchalant beauty, while dairy markets and butchers still populate Bloomsbury’s street corners, lending it a distinctly village feel in the midst of central London.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE FULL INSTRUCTION BEFORE BOOKING A private studio in London's most prime location, right outside Russell Square Station. Easy access from major transport stations: King's Cross & St Pancras - 3mins by tube Euston - 6mins by bus Heathrow Airport - 50mins by direct tube line Guests will enjoy a spacious south-facing bedroom and a private bathroom. No one else will live in the place during guests' stay. We only speak English.
IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFO CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING Guests will have a super comfortable double bed, a large wardrobe for cloths and suitcase, a desk for working, a coffee table and chairs with selected Teas and London City Guides by the host - a London based designer. The location is super convenient - neighbors include British Museum, Covent Garden, Soho and Oxford Circus (all within 1 mile) and the area is full of cafes, restaurants and parks - providing superior experience and perfect for travelers to explore London. However the building is very old. There is no lift so you need to carry your bags up 20 steps. The age of the place doesn't help to give you a sparkling clean feel overall and the facilities are not modern which sometimes requires some extra effort. Most people are fine with the above but we do have some guests unhappy about it. As the host we value your experience very much and would like to make sure you are fully aware and cool with the condition explained. No kitchen at this moment. PLEASE BE AWARE: Our cleaning service is professional and it keeps the place pretty CLEAN. However because it is VERY OLD, the ventilation in the toilet is not very good - which leads to black dots on the wall caused by condensation time to time. I don't consider it dirty since I live inside for 2 years but visually it doesn't look nice and some people could feel uncomfortable with it. If you are imagining a sparkling clean or brand new place, then this one is not your choice. Please check my other listings and DO NOT book this one. Thanks for cooperation.
The place is in Bloomsbury area, the area maintains its village vibe in the midst of central London —— Bloomsbury exudes high culture without pretenses. Known for its array of specialised institutions, Bloomsbury remains mild-mannered despite its cultural bragging rights. Room available to rent in central London, very close to the Thames , the British Museum and lots of other attractions. Bookings are for just 1 guest.
Its an old building from the 1840s, with some fittings that were put in when the property was built. The location is really excellent, walking distance to so many places and things to do.
The neighbourhood is called Bloomsbury and is very famous as a home for writers and thinkers in the late 19th and early 20th century.

Please read the rules before booking :) 1) No kitchen use 2) No early check ins as I have guests back to back in two rooms so I need time to prepare rooms. 3) No longer a ‘females only’ flat due to quiet months but subject to change back. 4) I never review guests as I have so many. I host a double room, in the heart of Bloomsbury - about 2-3 mins walking distance from Russell Square Station. It is near to KingsCross, Euston, British Museum, nearby Covent Garden and Leicester Square/Soho.
The room is beautifully decorated, with a double bed, cupboard, curtains and desk!
The neighbourhood is safe, friendly and nearby local grocery stores, restaurants, shops and pubs. The flat is also very close to many tourist areas such as Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Soho, as well as main stations which provide direct airport links to Gatwick, Luton and Heathrow airports such as Kings Cross St Pancras and Euston, as well as the Eurostar!

This single bedroom has wall to wall carpet on floors throughout, tastefully decorated and a shared bathroom. There is not a self catering option and no kitchen facilities apart from a mini fridge, kettle. Please be advised there is a security cameras at the main doors and on the stairs recording 24/7
Relatively cheap rents and a central London location make King's Cross attractive to artists and designers, attractions and cultural establishments: a major arts centre, Kings Place, next to the Regent's Canal hosts numerous art, music, live comedy and cultural events throughout the year both Antony Gormley and Thomas Heatherwick have studios in the area The London Sinfonietta and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment are both based here, alongside the Pangolin Sculpture Gallery; Central St Martins College of Art and Design has taken up residence in the Granary Building, which looks out over Granary Square, a new public space decorated with more than 1,000 coloured fountains the cutting-edge Gagosian Gallery moved its main London premises to King's Cross in 2004. Kings Cross has a heritage of nurturing arts and culture. The British Library is located next to St Pancras Station, displaying some of the world's most famous written and printed items, such as the Magna Carta (1215) and Shakespeare's First Folio. The London Canal Museum commemorates the importance of London's canals. The fascinating Foundling Museum tells the story of the Foundling Hospital, London's first home for abandoned babies. The area also features a number of theatres, including the Shaw Theatre and the Bloomsbury Theatre. The Camley Street Natural Park is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle of King's Cross: spot wildlife, relax by the pond and learn more at the park's visitor centre. The peaceful St Pancras Old Church is also worth a visit: look out for the Grade I listed mausoleum of Sir John Soane, which inspired the design of London's red telephone boxes. Eat, drink and party in King's Cross King's Cross is full of lively bars, some of which are relatively new to the area, such as, the Spanish Camino, Drink Shop Do and VOC. If you're feeling peckish, there is a great selection of restaurants, including the Caravan cafe, Golden Arrow at Pullman London St Pancras or Bruno Loubet’s Grain Store. Pubs in the area include The Lighterman, The Fellow, and The Driver. For a quick snack at lunch, the Sourced Market in St Pancras International station offers a diverse range of gourmet foods. Alternatively, the exquisite St Pancras Renaissance Hotel – which was originally built by Sir George Gilbert Scott, and saved from demolition by Sir John Betjeman, despite his comment that it was "too beautiful and too romantic to survive" – is the perfect place to treat that special someone: take them for drinks in the Booking Office bar, or for a meal at The Gilbert Scott. You'll also find an all-day restaurant, Plum + Spilt Milk, in the historic Great Northern Hotel, London's first railway hotel. King's Cross is a great place to party! The Scala and the Big Chill House are both in close proximity. Venture a bit further north for Egg, a three-floor club venue with a great outdoor area for lounging. King's Cross is just a short walk from Euston Station – find out more about hotels and attractions near Euston. The King's Cross Partnership was established to fund regeneration projects and the first stage is now open to the public. You can find out more about the current redevelopment at the King's Cross Visitor Centre.

Quirky let in top floor flat with balcony. Genuinely in Central London. 1-minute to Russell Square station. End of living room screened-off for privacy. Welcoming and clean. A home first and doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. Prefer 1-4 nights only but can sometimes host longer; please ask. Supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and independent shops on the doorstep. Walking distance to the West End, Soho, River Thames, Kings Cross, and Euston. Amazing transport everywhere else - even France!
Friends and guests of your host describe the sleeping area as a cosy 'boudoir' with access to the balcony with an east/ south-easterly view of London. Though this quirky let is listed throughout the year, it gets booked up quickly, sometimes months in advance. Your host is knowledgeable about his adopted city of 30+ years and happy to give tips on what to do locally. Some guests don't realise how LARGE London is and travel time between destinations. Never fear, your host is pretty good at travel itineraries. You may have maps apps but he has local knowledge!
Despite huge changes over recent decades, Bloomsbury manages to maintain its identity and local feel. Has a rich literary history, some of your favourite authors are probably from here. The architecture and buildings are varied and quintessentially London.

The place is nicknamed my ‘Penthouse in Bloomsbury’ because the living room is light and spacious - alas, it is NOT a penthouse, but I try to treat it as such :)
In case you can’t be bothered to cook or buy groceries, there are a plethora of eateries in the Brunswick Centre, including Starbucks, Itsu, YoSushi and many other independent restaurants, ranging from Chinese, Italian, Indian and all else in between - King of Falafel highly recommended if you like falafels. The British Museum is a brisk 10 minute walk or 20 minute leisurely stroll through Russell Square Park. Getting to Oxford, Regent and Bond Streets is easy via a 20-30 minute walk, Uber or CityMapper Smartride - this app is essential for all Transport for London travel if you fancy using the river boat, Emirates airline and DLR in addition to the tube. Last, but not least, if you want to check out a university or college, there are so many packed into what I call ‘university quadrant’, from Goodenough College (yep! it’s really called that) to Birckbeck, SOAS, etc etc etc
I call the neighbourhood ‘Tourist Central’ and ‘University Quadrant’. Additionally, there are so many museums within walking distance, most notably the British Museum. And there’s no chance of not finding an eatery to match your tastebuds and style - there is everything from budget to luxury and enough gyms to work it off if you overindulge

Our flat is located in the heart of London, within two to three minutes' walk from Kings Cross and St Pancras station. Its location is perfect for exploring all the sites and attractions of London including Big Ben, Covent Garden, The British Museum, Madame Tussauds, Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London, St Paul's Cathedral, Tate Modern and many more. Kings Cross and St. Pancras stations provide excellent transport links including the tube, bus, overground trains.
King’s Cross might be best known for King’s Cross and St Pancras stations (plus Harry Potter’s Platform 9¾), but there is much more to the area than travel and train timetables. Recent regeneration has made the area flourish. Bars and pubs in and around King’s Cross range from traditional to achingly hip, and the restaurants feature everything from British to Ethiopian cuisine. There are a host of other things to do as well, with outstanding clubs, music venues and museums nearby, much-loved green spaces, popular Granary Square and a pretty stretch of Regent’s Canal, all of which makes King’s Cross an ace destination in its own right. Clerkenwell is mainly known for its abundance of wonderful places to eat and drink, but there is also a variety of interesting things to do and see in this central neighbourhood. What makes this part of the city such a noteworthy place to visit is the wealth of history that its cobbled streets hold. Book a History Lesson A fascinating place for historians is the Museum of the Order of St John. Dating back to the sixteenth century, St. John’s Gate once formed the entrance to the Priory of Clerkenwell, which dates back even further, to the eleventh century. This was the headquarters of the ancient Order of St. John, where knights would set off to Israel, Cyprus, Rhodes, and Malta. The museum is open from Monday to Saturday from 10AM to 5PM, but a tour is recommended (Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays) for an informative and educational visit. For more of a literary experience, The Charles Dickens Museum is just down the road. Visit the author’s beautiful townhouse on Doughty Street for an insight into his life and the inspiration behind his famous works. If it’s good shopping that you look for in an area, the small-village feel of Clerkenwell adds charm to its array of delightful independent shops. Design specialist Magma, on Clerkenwell Road, shouldn’t be missed; it has a diverse collection of magazines, DVDs, toys, pinhole cameras, and a series of limited-edition posters. Exmouth Market is a must for gift shops; head to In With The Old for some lovely stocking fillers this Christmas. London is hardly short on food markets as it is, but Clerkenwell has three of the best in the city. Famous Smithfield Market, a Grade II listed building, was designed by a Victorian architect in the nineteenth century. It is not only the design of this market that is fascinating, though; Smithfield is now the city’s main wholesale market, known mainly for its daily cuts of exquisite, quality meat. For a quick market lunch, don’t miss Leather Lane, historically a bric-a-brac market, but now the epicenter of street food in central London, with stalls serving cuisine from Mexico, Thailand, India, Indonesia, and Greece, among other nations. Exmouth Market is a calmer option during the midweek lunchtime rush; Culture Trip advises trying Hummus Bros for a delicious Levantine lunch. Once home to hundreds of Italian families that migrated to London in the 1870s, Clerkenwell still has the Italian charm that was brought to it all of those years ago. The city’s oldest Italian delicatessen is situated on Clerkenwell Road, next to the beautiful St Peter’s Roman Catholic Church. Terroni is the perfect place to pick up cured meats, cheese, and pasta or just grab a coffee in a unique, continental setting. It is no secret that tourists flock to Farringdon station on the weekend, making their way to London’s most famous nightclub. Fabric hosts world famous DJs and is open until 6AM, giving its guests the opportunity to literally dance all night.
