Tall ceilings and pocket doors grace space. Coffee, tea, and fruit served in vintage dining room in the morning. Private room provides a queen bed and chaise lounge to relax with 40’ TV. Street parking is plenteous and free; as is the kind hospitality. I’m flexible, just ask.

Filled with books, art, and musical instruments this antique filled home is inspiringly decorated by the creative musician artist homeowner. Ten foot ceilings and pocket doors add to the character of this nest. Queen bed with memory foam mattress for peaceful rest.

  • Great place to stay. Cynthia is going to be adding a number of things to do while staying at her home and studio. Stained glass classes, treasure hunting at the local thrift stores, open mic nights at local establishments, etc...

  • Overall, a good value, especially if you're on a budget. Would consider staying there again in the future. Solid accommodations, and a great hostess. Parking can fill up on the street, especially in the afternoons/evenings, so be mindful of that.

For the guest traveling and needing a sweet safe place to sleep peacefully, welcome to my piano room first floor retreat. As an artistic musician, having been on the road touring, I know how much a musical retreat can be appreciated. Therefore, after having so many returning guests that wanted to stay over, and my other two rooms were booked, I am offering this hostel style piano room in my magical home for guests to enjoy.
In between the dinning room and kitchen is a space with the most comfy of vintage sofas, named the Cleopatra Couch. She will softly snuggle you with her in fur and blankets for a peaceful rest whilst you journey. There is no door, per-say, but a curtain drawn gives a sense of privacy. With four pianos, a Taylor guitar, ukuleles, crystal bowls, and percussion fun; this first floor is filled with things to play. Also, board games, books, for quality time; and stained glass, art, and collectibles in studio shop for purchase. Since coffee, must be made in the morning (6-7am) the room becomes common space again, for access to kitchen. Most nights the home is quiet time after 10pm, maybe later on the weekends. Therefore, a good nights sleep with a sense of privacy happens. The bonus is your own 1/2 bath just off the room.
Uptown home 3 blocks from Susquehanna river and just off I-81. Within 2-3 miles to downtown, Capital, HACC, Farm Show. 20 minutes to Hershey Attractions, Appellation Trail, and Carlisle.
  • So I have to say this was my very first air bnb experience. My host was exceptional in every way, from the great conversation! To the amazing music. Cynthia is by far the best! Everything she displays on her ad is 100% accurate! On top of that she makes you feel right at home. I will always come to her 1st when I'm in the area..and recommend that anyone would like the experience.

    Josahia2019-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • I rented the couch for the night but when I arrived I was offered a bedroom as it had been paid for but the person canceled. What luck! How generous do Cynthia to give me that option. All of her fur babies were wonderful so if you are not a fan, this might not be the place for you but it was PERFECT for me! Tea and water is always available, fun instruments and so many neat things to look at around the house, including some of Cynthia’s artwork! The family is wonderful and I loved swapping stories, I only wish I had more than 1 night! I will definitely be staying again if I ever get the chance! Highly recommend staying here! Very clean, so long as you don’t mind cat hair, easy to access from the roads, there are stairs to bedrooms if mobility is on your mind but the couch is very comfy, and as it is home and shop it has a wonderfully eclectic vibe perfect for wandering souls!

So whether you are visiting the Harrisburg/Hershey area for work or pleasure, we guarantee you a comfortable and warm space that is sure to make your stay stress free and enjoyable. Visit our other listing Here: https://www.airbnb.com/h/harrisburg-hershey-lodge-with-ensuite-bathroom

The beauty of this space is that you will be perfectly located only 10mins drive to downtown harrisburg but our immediate neighborhood is extremely quiet! We are just a few blocks away from the River front that boasts a gorgeous walking/running trail on the river. There is also a bicycle lane and bicycles for rent along the trail! Fort Hunter Park is only 2miles away. The park hosts various music and wine festivals! Hershey Park is about 20mins drive!!!
  • Comfortable clean bed. WiFi works great. Bathroom on second floor and bed on third floor so if you have to use the restroom in the middle of the night you have to take the steps. However this should not be a surprise as the bathroom and bedroom location are clear in the description. I was in town for a conference and the attic nook provided a nice alternative to staying at a hotel. I would stay again. Thank you for your hospitality.

    Michelle2019-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • A clean, comfortable space in a nice quiet neighborhood. Be prepared for climbing the stairs (as is listed in the description) and for the healthy lungs of Sharon & Garrett's beautiful 7 month old baby (also noted). If those things won't challenge you, stay here, it's a great value.

    Analisa2018-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great space! The pics really don't do it justice. Sharon and Garrett and baby are all fabulous. The best amenity for me was the shower... clean, well-lit and hot water for daaaayyyzzz. And Garrett makes the best coffee. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to others.

This is a spacious downstairs apartment in a beautiful newer house in a quiet neighborhood. The apartment has private entrance and a yard. It is located close to I-81 and highway 322 less than 10 minutes drive from the state capitol and the beautiful Susquehanna river and 25 minutes from Harrisburg International Airport.
  • This is a basement apartment, very modern and pretty. It is extremely clean. It is located in a beautiful home in a very nice section. There is no TV and this is listed in the amenities, although I did not catch it. It was a wonderful place to stay and we would definitely stay again.

    Carol2018-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I were driving through and Tone's place was the perfect place to stay. Communication was easy, directions spot on. Tone and Neil greeted us and showed us the suite. A very comfortable bed and a selection of breakfast items made getting back on the road early much easier. If driving by this way again we would definitely stay with Tone.

    Lesley2017-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Tone's place was very clean and had great amenities! Overall, I would recommend it. This was great for our one night passing by Harrisburg, but if I had a longer trip, I would probably look elsewhere. I felt like I had to be really quiet to not disturb Tone and her family upstairs (If you're a quiet person or you're traveling alone, maybe this isn't an issue). Check-in time had to be arranged so that we could be let into the house, but check-out was on our own.

    Tony2018-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • Tone is a great host and her place is quiet and beautiful. I would recommend this property to other people!

    Yao2019-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very clean and well kept. The host is very nice and hospitable. It's a great value and great place to stay.

    Allison2018-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great Place and centrally located to many sights and events. Nice neighborhood, quiet, and Tone's accommodations are clean, odor free, and the luxury of a refrigerator/stove was well appreciated. In the spring we plan to return, when weather improves and the river walk is accessible especially when they have festivals. No need for a t.v., as this is a great time to plan board games or BananaGram with the 8 year old.

    Lynn2018-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay.

    Lois2019-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nice play to stay. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast supplies and snacks were a thoughtful touch. It's a basement apartment so you could occasionally hear people walking upstairs but that's all. It was more than quiet enough for us, and much quieter than many hotels I've stayed in.

  • Cynthia has a beautiful place. We were the first guests to stay in the camper, and we're excited to see the upgrades she makes when we come back again sometime! She was very hospitable, and we had everything we needed there! The cats and dog are very friendly, and definitely added to the experience. I 100% recommend staying with her. 😊

Very quiet setting right off Route 322, 81, and 83. If you need estimates for distance, use the "Country Club of Harrisburg" on Fishing Creek Valley Road. We are very close to the Farm Show building. Brand new queen bed and Wifi. The apartment is part of our house, but it is well sound proof with separate entrance and code pad. We do not allow pets. And we are not child proofed.
The bedroom was newly renovated and the kitchen and bathroom updated. There is a brand new queen size bed and there's a small kitchenette and separate bath. See photos of kichenette. The apartment is part of our house. The entrance is separate with a keypad so that guests can come and go as they want. There is one small step into the house, but no stairs. There is a front porch and a back patio to relax. There is an extra heater and AC. There is a shower but no tub.
The house is up the hill. There is one small step into the house. The house is surrounded by peaceful woods and a safe secure quiet setting. Sometimes the deer are in the back yard. There is a manual with some pamphlets about the area. The neighbors house is a little old, but she is very nice.

Open floor plan on a wooded lot. 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, great room. Large deck over looks the yard and into the woods where the deer like to grab a sip of water from the creek. Close to Hershey, Lancaster and Gettysburg. Great places to eat within minutes. Queit neighborhood with some great views if your in the mood for a walk. Apartment on the bottom floor is occupied by owner. Separate parking and entrance. The only interaction you will have is if you need something.
This secluded neighborhood nestled on a Susquehanna Township hillside just east of the Susquehanna River and in a very convenient location. The home-sites offer one-of-a-kind private wooded setting.
  • Interesting home with a sort of log cabin vibe. Comfortable and spacious. Location is a bit tucked away but there are deer everywhere which was pretty cool. All in all a good place to stay.

  • Great place, highly recommendable. We particularly liked the patio with a very nice view over the garden, where we also spotted some deer from time to time.

    Thomas2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This house exceeded our expectations. We were very comfortable and felt safe and at home during our trip. Less than 30 mins to Heshey, 5 min to a nice urgent care (which we visited twice in 4 days), and a few mins to grocery store, pharmacy, and food! John was flexible, accommodating, and easy to communicate with. Will reccomend to our friends!

  • We were lucky enough to stay in the heart of fall. The view was breathtaking and the wrap around deck helped us appreciate the creek and tree view.

    Debra2018-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet neighborhood and a perfect airbnb if you have large family. Can easily accommodate those who prefer a home away from home.

    Tiffany2018-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was an outstanding place. The house is super comfortable and we had plenty of space for our 3 kids and us for 3 nights. The owners were very responsive. There are lot of thoughtful touches and we had fun with the lightning around the house. The kitchen was fun to use as well as the grill. We saw deer every night and the deck is an awesome place to have dinner or breakfast, and there is a huge number of fireflies at night. All the beds were really comfy, which was great after busy days. Totally recommend this place.

My place is close to the airport, parks, and the city center. You’ll love my place because of the coziness, the people, the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The house is conveniently located 30 minutes from Hershey Park, 15 minutes from downtown Harrisburg, and 30 minutes from the airport.
You'll feel at home when staying in one of my guestrooms. Rooms are located on the second floor of my home. On the main level you'll find a cozy fireplace, shabby chic décor, and some southern charm to make you feel welcome. Guests are welcome to utilize kitchen space, but a mini fridge and Keurig are available for guest use too.
My home is located in a large, active neighborhood located on a hill which provides a beautiful view of the valley below and spectacular views of sunrise and sunset.
  • Katie’s place is beautiful and very comfortable. Everything was as advertised and a great place to spend the night.

  • Great home! Very clean. My daughter loved the goodie basket. Thanks for the hospitality!!

    Brittany2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Katie was a wonderful host. She responded to any questions I had quickly and efficiently and the house was simply lovely. A great deal for two bedrooms and a quick overnight stay in Harrisburg.

    Morgan2017-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Katie's beautiful home! It was very easy to get to our room with Katie's instructions, and we didn't even need to meet her in person (which I wouldn't have minded). Private bathroom was very clean and the neighborhood was perfect for our stay after a long day at Hershey park. Katie even left us a basket of goodies when we arrived that was extremely nice and unexpected. It had soap/shampoo/conditioner, a toothbrush, bottled water, crackers, and most importantly Hershey's chocolate bars! Thanks so much :)

    Samantha2017-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Katie's home is very clean and located in an upscale and safe neighborhood. The perfect place if you want comfort, safety and cleanliness. Would highly recommend.

    Monica2017-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • Katie is a great host, she is very nice, keeps everything nice and clean for your stay and even gives you a nice basket filled with candy, chocolate, shampoo, conditional, shower gel, toothpaste, toothbrush and travel information to start off your day!

Sweet room in uptown colonial home
A comfortable room for one with a double bed, tv, and desk. the bath is shared.
Beautiful neighborhood for walking and only 2 blocks from the river front park where you can run, walk or bike.
  • Cheryl is a very thoughtful host and has a lovely home. I had the opportunity to stay at her house for 3 months. I was driving from Ohio, and Cheryl was very flexible with my arrival time. She provided clean bath towels, my own closet, additional storage space for my belongings, a bedroom fan, pantry space, and fridge space. Cheryl allowed me to use her kitchen as well. She is often in her living room, but is welcoming to invite guests to sit, chat, and watch tv with her. One also has the option of watching their own shows in their bedroom since Cheryl provides you with your own tv. Additionally, she would periodically take out my bedroom trash, wash my bed linens, and even wash my laundry weekly. Cheryl truly went the extra mile to make my long term stay as cozy as possible. I was able to park right outside her house. Her house is in one of the safest neighborhoods in Harrisburg, and it’s very quiet and pleasant. Right by the riverfront where often I would run, walk, and even walk Cheryl’s dog. It was a treat to sleep with the windows open before the summer heat was in full swing and be woken up by the birds. Cheryl is a great conversationalist and provided recommendations in the area. Her two pets are cute and wander throughout the house. Some things to keep in mind for a long term stay: -You are allowed 2 loads of laundry a week, but there is a laundry mat nearby if you need additional loads washed. However, Cheryl will make exceptions if you’re in a bind. -Cheryl is an very early riser and goes to bed very early, but is cautious and makes sure the home is a quiet environment. -Your daily shower is limited to 10 minutes Overall, very clean space and Cheryl does her absolute best to make you feel at home. I would recommend Cheryl’s place for a long-term stay in Harrisburg!

    Judy2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Cheryl is a wonderful and acoomodating host. I stayed for over a week. She is an early riser and if you are a coffee drinker, she will have a cup of coffee ready for you! That is simply wonderful!! I had a great night sleep and she is pleasant company as well. I would recommend staying here to anyone. It is in a good location with lots of accessibility to major roads close by. Her little dog, Fuji, and cat, Winslow, are very personable and well behaved. I hope you have the chance for her to make your stay in Harrisburg a pleasant one.

Charming uptown Victorian home filled with books, musical instruments, art, stained glass (created by the host herself) board games, and great vibes. One bedroom presents a queen bed dressed in oriental essence and a comfy memory foam mattress. The second sleeping space is on the vintage sofa downstairs in the piano lounge, which is shared with the host and family during the day time, as it is a pass through to the kitchen. A common shared bath, studio parlor, and dinning room decorated in antiques and art grace ten foot ceilings and pocket doors. The host is pet friendly, present and flexible.
Uptown, just three blocks from the Susquehanna River, 1/2 mile off I-81. So close (2-3 miles) to State Capital, Farm Show Complex and Convention Center, and HACC. Within 20 minutes to Hershey Park and Attractions and The Appalachian Trail
  • We had a wonderful time in Cynthia's home. Our spaces were very comfortable and spacious, as we expected from the listing. We especially enjoyed our warm conversations with Cynthia on various occasions. Her hospitality was the best I've experienced at any Air BnB home yet.

Rocky is a historic 1922 caboose at Fort Hunter Park. Imagine you are on the Orient Express! Next to the world's longest stone arch railroad bridge. On the riverbank for fishing or kayaking or incredible sunsets. We have bikes and kayaks. Not to be missed.
Rocky is a restored and enhanced 1922 wooden caboose. Amazing views of the river on the riverside deck, kayaking and fishing on the river, walks along the old Pennsylvania canal in the park beside Rocky. Your own private rail car on the Orient Express bound for a wonderful memory...
Google Fort Hunter Park or the Rockville Bridge. Search on witf radio site for upcoming events in Harrisburg. Search 'the burg riverhouse' to learn more of me.
  • Location was great for the river and surrounding attractions. Not too far from Hershey Park. The caboose is cozy and has great style. Would definitely stay again when in the area!

    Harold2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with my girlfriend and dog for a weekend. Gary’s Caboose was everything advertised, right next to the park and on the lake it was perfect. Gary helped us carry out kayak into the water and also gave local tips. I would recommend.

    James / Cat2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, and hospitality!!!

    Daniel2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • We recommend Rocky the Caboose to anyone wanting an adventurous get-away! We felt we were in a train traveling through the countryside! Gary offered us use of a kayak and we wandered out onto the great Susquehanna River. We watched working trains traversing over the 100 + year old stone bridge. Thank you Gary and Max! We had a wonderful time!

    Jarrett2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the place! We had a great stay

    Doug2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking for train and river front scenery this is for you. Rocky has been totally recreated to a tiny house on the Susquehanna River. Unfortunately, we were unable to take advantage of the water sports offered because of the flooding days before. We did enjoy the river front and watching the trains on the bridge. Rocky is next to a park, Fort Hunter, a nice place to walk. Wildwood park is another nice park close to Rocky. Harrisburg is a friendly city to hang out. We enjoyed the Millworks and Appalachian breweries. Rocky is between the river and the road. The road can be noisy at times but the riverfront makes up for it. We enjoyed our stay at Rocky and our visit in the Harrisburg area.

    Lynn2018-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Gary offered a later checkout so we could further explore Harrisburg. The river views morning and evening were spectacular. A kayak adventure was exciting too! I'd definitely recommend to others.

    Amanda2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • I love unusual spaces...the caboose is definitely unique. You can't beat the location - it's right on the river. Adding a spacious deck was such a great idea, I love small spaces like the caboose, but when you can step outside onto such a beautiful deck, it's even better. And a grill, which was pristine...so nice. I spent my last night there grilling some beautiful dinner and drinking a nice cold beer while watching some ducks surf on the river. So relaxing. Gary was the perfect host, never intrusive but made friendly contact. He was also very responsive and flexible about my check-in because the airlines and weather didn't cooperate. The kitchen has what you need - plates, cups, etc...nice little fridge and freezer, microwave, etc. Oh, also a coffee machine, and a beautiful teapot with a built-in basket for loose-leaf tea. Best of all - tongs. Grilling without tongs makes me grit my teeth!! Love that he provided tongs. A must have. He also thoughtfully provided coffee and sweeteners... The shower was good, plenty of hot water, good water pressure. Only thing I didn't like is there is a urinal in the bathroom. As I told Gary, I hate urinals. I'm sure guys will like it :) All in all, a great experience. Thank you!

  • This is a great little treasure hidden away in the woods. It was clean and quiet even though neighbors are close. I loved falling asleep to the sounds of nature and reading along side the creek. GREAT place!

  • This cabin is cozy. It fit our family of 7 easily. This property has personality. We loved the brook, and spent a lot of our down time on the patio listening to the water and watching the fish. The beds were super comfortable. The owners were very communicative when it came to our arrangements and made sure we knew how to contact them if we needed any help. This is a great place. It's out of the way and quiet!

    Louis2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is sparkling clean and comfortable! The AC works really well. The beds were comfortable. The scenery was beautiful. We had a great stay!

    James2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely little cabin. Our family (of 8) considered it a "Tiny Home" but definitely had plenty of room for everyone. We didn't get to hike the trail or use the kayaks or even eat outside, but it was a perfect place to use for our day at Hershey as part of a multi-state vacation. Liz communicated quickly and was very gracious at check-out. All in all a great place to stay and a good experience for the family!

    Eli2019-05-05T00:00:00Z

  • This was a great place for a family reunion! There were 4 kids from 1-6 and they all had a great time. The creek provided hours of fun on a daily basis and the house was perfect for each family. We hope to make this an annual trip and definitely want to return to this house!

    Angelica2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Liz and Ed's place was truly perfect for our nine person group. Everyone had comfortable sleeping arrangements and having two full bathrooms was a tremendous boon. It rained all day FRI so we spent most of the day inside playing games, but the weather was beautiful on SAT; we spend a large chuck of day playing lawn games outside and lounging creekside. It is a lovely and private setting for relaxing. Some of the smaller and more thoughtful touches included PLENTY of towels and trash bags, a small (but strong) bluetooth speaker, reliable wifi, and a very clear check-out list (you may be surprised how often places DON'T post this in an obvious spot). Having organized a number of retreats in/around south-central PA for relaxation/gaming retreats, I highly recommend this particular property. I consider it to be a great value and would frankly be happy to return again next year.

    Benjamin2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • The house was amazing, the pictures don’t do it justice online! The house was super clean and a pleasure to stay at. The previous tenants left some wood in the fire pit half burned so we finished it off and left the wood we had for a fire! Thanks for the great stay, would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in the area.

    Sean2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great set up! Liz and Ed were super helpful whenever we had questions about the house. Overall, fantastic experience.

    Anisha2018-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a cute and cozy home on a secluded street with a stream right in the back yard. The description was spot on and it was so easy to get to Harrisburg. Hershey Park was only a 40 minute drive. This house had it all if you are looking for a get away that is not actually that far from anything. There were 5 adults and 4 kids, the house was able to accommodate all of us!

  • My family and I had a wonderful time celebrating the holidays in this lovely home. Next to historic Fort Hunter Park and on the riverbank of the Susquehanna, the Treehouse is a cozy getaway only 5 minutes from center city Harrisburg. Walk in the park, ride our bikes, paddle the river in our kayaks, fish or just chill and read on our riverdecks and furniture.....
    Tiny bungalow with style.
Fort Hunter park adjoins the treehouse, the riverhouse, and Rocky the Caboose. You feel the you are in the park. The property is steps away from the Susquehanna river. We have kayaks available for guests to use. The property is also on a bike path for those looking to bike/walk/run on their getaway. We have 2 bikes available for use.
  • Exactly as described. The tree house is a lovely spot. We would absolutely stay here again.

    Rebecca2018-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, great amenities, and a great host. Gary was available, but not obtrusive. He told us all about the area historically and at present. The river was beautiful and the kayaking was a blast. Our dog even got in on the act and went swimming voluntarily for the first time! The space is small, but has all you need for a comfortable stay in any weather. The only thing I'd advise would be to bring a sleeping roll for the beds if you don't like a firm sleeping surface. Loved our trip!

    Dustin2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • This place is incredible! The location is very easy to find and right off the highway. The room is cozy, well stocked and pretty much everything you may need is here- linens, kitchen supplies, towels, and even extra storage space. I wish we were able to stay around the Tree House longer to really explore. The sight is beautiful- overlooking the river with comfy chairs and benches to enjoy the view. Gary and Diane were very welcoming. We brought our 2 dogs and they loved it- make sure if you bring your 4 legged friend that they are ok with climbing a flight of outdoor stairs. There is a park across the street and plenty of room to walk the dogs. The bathroom is a little on the small side but has a sink, toilet and even a shower. The beds are fold out sofa beds- my husband and I each had our own. This place is a great retreat for 2 people

    Ashley2017-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Better than I expected. Loved sitting by the water drinking my wine!

    Jessie2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • You cannot beat this stunning location right on the river! We were able to bring our 2 small dogs with us during our stay, and Gary could not have been a more gracious host. He really went above any beyond to create a comfortable space with all the spcial touches for amenities for his guests. He gave my husband and I great recommendations for restaurants (Glass Lounge!), hikes, and we were able to enjoy the river on his kayaks.

    Abigail2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • The treehouse was a wonderful, pet-friendly getaway for us. We loved the location; it feels tucked away but you’re only 25 minutes out from the center of Harrisburg. Gary (and his little dog, Max) is a wonderful host.

    Natalie2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Gary is an exceptional host. He was very responsive and attentive to our needs/questions, and he was very generous with amenities – we were able to use the outdoor grill, relax on the charming deck overlooking the river, and take out the kayaks. The tree-house was cozy, and the view was gorgeous! The location is perfect as well – a nice quaint area that’s close to the Appalachian hiking trail and only a 10-15-minute drive into town.

    Julia2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the treehouse! The space is really special- beautiful and cozy inside! We loved being so close to the river and it was really convenient for all the things we wanted to do in town! We also loved playing with our dog in the gorgeous park across the street. Great sunsets and views of the river can't be beat!

  • Wonderful hosts! We were greeted by Mayer and their daughter, who is adorable. He went over all the things we would need, and we felt like we were very well taken care of. He even offered use of the swing set for our kids. The location was great, and very close to the wedding we attended, and downtown where we strolled and ate dinner. Overall, a fabulous stay. Thank you, Mayer and Amanda!

  • Very clean and lots of space! Our family with 5 children had plenty of room and did not feel crowded. Also, this home was close to the interstate which was exactly what we needed for our overnight stay on our way North to visit family.

    Sarah2019-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • The location is in a converted 4 car detached garage in an alley way. I needed a place on short notice so it worked but the pictures are very deceiving.

    Darryl2019-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Mayer and Amanda were great with communication and explaining all we would need to get to the house and getting in. They also shared a lot about the area that would be very helpful if we were going to be in the area longer. Very impressive! We had a few minor issues with missing items and cleanliness of specific places that has been addressed with the owners. I would definitely consider renting from them again. I am sure they will take our suggestions to heart. Thank you!

    Kimi2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • "Great Value" Mayer and Amanda were terrific hosts. Very welcoming. Communication was timely and you can tell they put that little something extra into making my stay comfortable. Appreciated the coffee and tea. The place is nice and well kept...ideal if visiting with a big family or group.

  • The space is amazing, and the bed is very comfortable. Fresh French press coffee was provided each morning, along with some great conversation. Cynthia is a great host, musician and artist with friendly and well behaved pets. I will try to book again if I’m in the area.

  • I had one of my best AirBnB experiences staying at Cynthia's place. Not only is she a great host, but an amazing and talented human being as well. The place exceeded my expectations in every way and had everything I possibly needed. The bus stop is walking distance from the house and takes you to downtown in about 30 mins. Cynthia herself was always willing to drive me there personally if the need ever arised. There was always so much food and snacks to help yourself to including her amazing home-made lemonade and french press coffee which I had almost daily. I loved having conversations with her regarding pretty much anything and enjoyed my time around her wonderful pets. There is so much more to write here but all in all, It has been a great experience and I have no reservations recommending this place to all the future guests. Thank you once again for your hospitality and I wish you the best this life has to offer. Hope to see you again one day!

  • I can not say enough about the hospitality and genuine openness that I experienced staying at Cynthia's home! As an accomplished artist and musician, Cynthia welcomes guests into a truly enchanting and relaxing home replete with so many personal touches that I have never experienced previously through Airbnb. Herbal teas and fresh fruit, a welcoming common space with custom artwork, a relaxing and private bedroom and a spacious bathroom make for a wonderful spot in a convenient location just outside of downtown Harrisburg. You'll definitely want to come back again and again! Thank you Cynthia for the warmest of welcomes!

  • Few words won't be enough to describe the experience I have had staying with Cheryl. At the moment we met she treated me like a member of her family. The house is in a very peaceful, safe, and beautiful area of Harrisburg. Everything is perfectly clean, and so lovely. The bedroom is spacious, and cosy. The bed is so comfortable. Cheryl is very careful, and a kind hearted woman. She will always make sure you have everything you need. She is here if you want to talk, and learn about her, or will give you privacy if you need to. We have had the most interesting conversations. I would recomend everyone to stay here. Thank you so much Cheryl, I won't forget you, love

  • Cheryl is a great host. Very accomodating and communicative, letting me know if and when she'll be around, and making sure I had access to the house if she was not around. While she was there, she's wonderful to talk to and eager to give you a tour of her amazing home. And she also is aware of your need for peace and quiet, and will let you do your thing when you need to. The neighborhood is great and a quick drive to/from the highway.

  • Cheryl's house is lovely and she made me feel like I was staying with an old family friend. Fuji and Winslow are darling and very sweet little guys and my room was quiet and cute with a huge bathroom. Should my travels take me to Harrisburg again, I'll definitely be staying with her again.

  • Cheryl was absolutely fantastic. She excels at being a host. She went above and beyond accommodating my weird scheduling. Her place is warm and cozy. Cheryl's two companions Winslow and Fuji were such a treat as well. They all definitely make you feel as if you were at home. I will definitely be back next time I'm in and around the area.

  • My stay at Cheryl's was relaxing and its location convenient to everything that I needed to have or get done. Her home is very clean and welcoming, plus the neighborhood is in a picturesque part of the old city. And it is safe. Cheryl was a personable character and a gracious hostess. Her two pets checked me out and we all got along famously.
