Our home is just 20 min from White Tail Ski Resort and Mercersburg Academy. For you history buffs, we are less than an hour to Gettysburg and Harper's Ferry. Antietam Battlefield is just twenty minutes away. It also is equidistant between Harrisburg, Washington DC and Baltimore MD, approximately an hour to each. You’ll love my place because of the scenic golf course, quiet neighborhood and beautiful landscape. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers. Dogs are fine.
  • I had a good night's rest in a beautiful , comfy bed. Check with the host if you have chemical sensitivities, as she uses plug-in air fresheners and candles. (I'm sure she could remove them if she knows in advance.)

Our neighborhood, Kensington Villas, is in a really great part of town. Being first time home owners, we weren't really sure what to expect living in a townhouse/duplex community. What we found is that our neighborhood is filled with lots of really friendly families and young couples that have become like extended family. What makes our neighborhood special...the people. We love our community and know that you will too!
  • Donna n mike were both so accommodating n friendly. Bring a solo woman traveler they made me feel very comfortable. Like they just knew I needed that little extra n went the extra mile. I will surely be back!! Thx to both of u!!!

  • Donna is a wonderful host who worked hard to make sure I was comfortable. I stayed at Donna’s home while attending a professional training in Hagerstown. The location was perfect for both the training and Starbucks. Donna really went out of her way for me when I was almost home (a 6 hour trip) and realized that I had dropped my wallet in Hagerstown! Donna located the wallet and shipped it overnight to me. I’m not advising guests to replicate my mistake, but Donna is definitely a wonderful person to have on your side if you do!

    Martha2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • It is an amazing place to stay, great room, clean bathroom, and they are a wonderfull family. Nothing bad to say about this place, i’ll stay there everytime i could.

  • Donna’s Airbnb is very clean and comfortable! The space has the little touches which make it homey, nice curtains, lighting, comfortable bedding, etc. Donna and her family were extremely warm and welcoming!

    Kelly2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t hesitate to book! The space is warm, clean, and stylish, and the hosts are SO sweet. Very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The location is very convenient to surrounding areas, while still being calm. My only regret is that I couldn’t stay longer!

  • It was an enchanted experience. Right down to the fresh flowers in the bedroom n bathroom. Ac was cranking. Beautiful n comfy!! She had a beautiful breakfast too!! Just for me. More than highly recommend Mary’s place. Safe street parking. Quiet neighborhood.

  • Mary was a great host and we enjoyed getting to know her and her husband along with their dog Harley who I cannot imagine him not being able to put a smile on your face every time you seem him. Her home is lovely with great cottage décor. The location is great as it is right by a beautiful park and convenient to everything. Wonderful tea and coffee and continental breakfast options. The home was sparkling clean.

    Deanna2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Mary makes you feel right at home in her beautiful house. We truly enjoyed the time we spent with her & Harley. You will have an exceptionally clean and comfortable place to stay in this home!

    Rene2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Mary was a pleasure. She was a wonderful hostess. She treated us like we were family. We had many nice conversations. Everything was exceptionally clean, the bed very comfortable and all the amenities included that we could hope to have. Mary was very mindful of all the details to make sure we had a comfortable stay. The neighborhood was pleasant and we felt safe during the day and at night. Not far away are stores of all kinds to suit your needs. We cooked or prepared meals in the kitchen and Mary shared a shelf of her refrigerator so we keep our foods readily available. There is a dog in the home who is friendly and playful. He enjoyed us as much as we enjoyed him. Temperature (for those thinking about hot summer days as we were) is controlled in the room which was so nice! The only caution I would give is for someone who isn’t good with stairs as it is required to climb a staircase to get to the bedroom. The stairs are carpeted and Mary has it very well lit (impressively so) but some, especially older folks, may find it to be challenging. Overall I highly recommend staying with Mary if you’re looking for a clean, safe and friendly home in Hagerstown. :)

    Christine2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mary is definitely the hostess with the mostest! She's very friendly, and I felt instantly at home in her beautiful house. I had a great night's sleep in the very comfortable bed in her guest room... plus she provides yummy breakfast options. Also it's in a great location near a town park that has a nice path around the lake. I highly recommend stopping in at Mary's airbnb!

    Linda2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was accommodating and warm hearted. The space is lovely and I recommend staying there.

    Anne2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was an incredibly kind and friendly host and was very flexible with our check-in time, as traffic issues altered our arrival time in Hagerstown. The space was very clean and very comfortable. Mary's kitchen was available for making food or grabbing a quick, healthy snack. She has a cute corgi in the house too! He's very young and active and friendly, so don't be afraid if he approaches you! Overall, we loved our stay, and would stay in Mary's home again if given the chance!

    Valesca2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect for a road trip down south or up north. Hostess is so sweet and so gracious. We were getting there a little bit later (9pm) and Mary was so flexible. The house is well decorated and very cute.

    Robert2019-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying here, and in booking it just the day before arrival, Laura was very responsive to the request and any other messages. It's a welcoming atmosphere from the minute you walk in, smelling the candles and seeing the fluffy, comfy bed! Would gladly stay here again.

    Gretchen2019-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Laura's place is super cozy and very clean. She responded quickly to all of our questions, even when we were checking in late at night. After a long day of driving up from Nashville, TN we were so relieved to have a night's rest in a comfortable bed before heading out on the road again to PA. Laura even provided earplugs in case we were light sleepers. She was a wonderful host and we would highly recommend her place to anyone traveling to the area!

Hagerstown is known as "The Hub" for good reason! Our place is conveniently located close to Interstates 81 and 70. You’ll love our place because of the comfortable living space. We want you to feel at home. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids).
Our place is close to the Hagerstown Regional Airport; just a little over an hour to Washington D.C., Baltimore and Annapolis; less than an hour to the Gettysburg Battlefield, Harper's Ferry, and Antietam Battlefield; just thirty minutes to Whitetail Ski Resort; and just minutes off of Interstates 81 and 70. Please note this is a private basement space in our home with a private entrance. Also, please note that although this area is furnished with a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot, it is not a full kitchen. This space is great for people who don't plan to cook aside from heating things up in the microwave. We do provide coffee, tea, water, and packets of oatmeal, along with paper plates, bowls, cups, and plastic cutlery for your convenience. Also, this basement space does have some areas that we utilize. For short term renters, we make sure this space is kept private. For longer term renters, sometimes we may need access to these areas, but only when it is convenient for the renter.
We live in a quiet, friendly neighborhood, close to many amenities.
  • Our stay at Wade and Ginny’s was perfect. So many nice touches. Very clean and comfortable.

    Lisa2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had the opportunity to stay here in passing to our next destination and had such a pleasant stay. Wish we could have stayed longer! We absolutely recommend this place!

    Charles2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Very kind and thoughtful hosts. Great, spacious private space. We would definitely go back again!

    Stephanie2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • I have only good things to say about Ginny. We arrived quite late after a long drive, but she made a point of waiting up for us and showing us around. The apartment could not have been nicer. Clean, comfortable, cozy. I am traveling with two 17-year olds, and one of them commented, "Can we stay here longer?" and the other just now said, "That was probably the best place we've stayed in." Is there any higher praise? Thanks again, Wade and Ginny!

    Fred2017-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • Wade and Ginny are wonderful hosts! This was perfect for my wife and I. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area.

    Shane2019-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • I actually did not stay last night due to my change in plans. I did not request or ask for a refund as I changed last minute and in my worldview that is not fair or appropriate. Ginny and Wade however communicated great, as always, and I look forward to my future stays with them!

    Andrew2018-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and very spacious. You have a living room, bedroom, bath and a small kitchen area with a fridge/microwave/coffee machine. I was greeted by the host then had my privacy with a separate entrance to the basement apartment. Great communication via text all the way. The apartment is very clean. Nice hot water and good water pressure in the shower, fresh towels, and a comfortable bed. Overall a great experience. I found a Starbucks in the grocery store just a few hundred feet from there which was super convenient on my way to my seminar in the mornings. I would definitely come back when I return to Hagerstown.

Newly renovated private suite in near-100 year old home only 1.5 miles from town center. Welcoming neighborhood of architecturally diverse homes inspired by the Garden City Movement of early 20th C. Near Interstate 81 and 70, Museum of Fine Arts, Whitetail Ski Resort, Antietam, Gettysburg, Frederick, C&O bike trails, wineries and outlets. Great for overnight travel or conferences, Maryland International Film Festival, Blues Fest, Suns (A) baseball and family reunions. Breakfast. Private parking.
Lovely walking neighborhood and steps away from Gordons Grocery, a 3 generation family shop with salads, specialty sweets, deli food, beer/wine, butcher, and the necessary staples.
Sidewalks and old trees make this a great walking and jogging neighborhood. The city bike trail goes through the neighborhood too. It’s quiet. And there’s a lot of birdsong. Many shops and a gym only five minutes away.
  • I enjoyed staying here. It feels like a place away from home. Dominic is a great host. I highly recommend!

  • Thank you, Dominic & Nancy, for your warm hospitality! Located in a beautiful historic district of Hagerstown, Dominic's home is a wonderful retreat when visiting the area. We walked around the neighborhood at night admiring the fantastic homes lining the block. The outdoor patio and garden was the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee or a glass of wine! Overall it's a beautiful space that comes with friendly, generous, and thoughtful hosts. We also loved the breakfast burritos -they were great! Thanks again & have a wonderful summer!

    Norah2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • There’s a reason I keep staying here. Great

    Mark2018-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • It is always a pleasure staying at Dominic’s place. So many personal touches and they go out of their way to make sure we are 100% comfortable and happy. The home is always sparkling clean and there’s always great snacks to choose from, which is great when you’re on the run. The bed is so comfortable and it’s very quiet and dark in the space, which allows good sleep to happen. The location is also great. Very safe and the neighbors are friendly as well.

Parkview, built in 1898, is a comfortable home located near City Park and downtown Hagerstown. Perfect location for Civil War buffs as several battlefields are within an hour's drive. Convenient for a day trip to Baltimore, DC, or Gettysburg. If you do not love dogs, this may not be the right location for you. If you want to bring a dog, pet fee is $25/night/dog and you are responsible for any damages. Second bedroom available for up to 2 people for extra $25/night.
Very quiet home. You will have a private bedroom and bath. Common areas like the kitchen and parlors are accessible to guests. The wrap-around porch is a great place to relax, weather permitting.
  • This was my first experience staying at an Airbnb. The home was great and had a lot of history behind it. We both got our own private room, which was very nice. The location from our event was close and we had no issues with leaving in the morning. She also did everything she could to make us feel comfortable while in her home. Gaye was an exceptional host that went above and beyond helping us. The morning before we left we had car trouble. She did everything possible to make sure we got to our event. This was something I never expected from an Airbnb host. I can’t thank her enough for what she did. The entire trip would have been ruined if it wasn’t for her act of kindness. I would absolutely stay again. Thanks again Gaye for everything!!!! You helped me complete a life long dream and complete a race I’ve wanted to do for years!!

    Patrick2016-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • My stay in this historic home, and with this gracious host, was a wonderful respite for my brief stay. Gaye was very accommodating with my arrival time, as travel traffic held me up, and I received an exuberant greeting upon getting there (her two pups were the perfect greeting committee). After sharing with her my love of history, she was nice enough to take me on a tour of the entire home, and then we sat down to chat over a glass of wine. Perfect end to my long travel day! The furnishings of both bed and bath were very comfortable and welcoming. Upon waking there was coffee available, and a fresh muffin to go with! I had to leave soon after breakfast, but I wouldn't hesitate to come stay with her and her pups again - Gaye and her hospitality are the perfect example of why I always look to Airbnb when traveling.

    Jennifer2018-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • A great location near the city park and river, this beautiful home and wonderful host made for a delightful stay in Hagerstown.

    Cheryl2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Gaye was a super friendly host. Very warm and welcoming! Her home is just as as perfect and welcoming as she is. If you are a dog friendly person, you'd fall in love with this place even more. But if not, dont even dare to go here. She owns two and also babysits more sometime. :) She made sure we were comfortable and gave us a lot of suggestions to get around the towns nearby. The room with the balcony was so cozy! We have done airbnb for the last 2 years or so and have never come across a host more friendly than her. She even gave us a can of pickles that she made fresh at home that weekend, which was awesome. In all, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect vacation and a home. Loved it and would come back here again.

    Rama2016-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Gaye's place. Beautiful old house, and Gaye was an excellent host. Lovely park just across the street and convenient to downtown. We'd definitely stay again.

    Kelly2016-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Gaye is a wonderful host -- warm, friendly, and accommodating. She encouraged us to make ourselves at home in her remarkable Victorian house, located in a neighborhood of beautiful homes next to Hagerstown's carefully maintained central park. While we came to the area mostly for cycling, we thought that Gaye's would be an excellent spot to return with grandchildren, who would love the park's playgrounds and large pond filled with fish and wildfowl. The description of the house is accurate, but does not convey the size, period detail, and comfort. There are two guest rooms, one that is pictured with a second floor screened porch, and another larger one. They share the bathroom pictured. Highly recommended!

    Jim2016-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • The house is beautiful and comfortable. Gaye was warm and welcoming. I very much enjoyed talking with her both the evening of our arrival and the following morning. a perfect stay!

Extras like towels, soap, shampoo, phone chargers, cable TV and the best thing was the whole house was conditioned at 72゚ I'm sorry that I didn't stay long enough to Try the hot tub. Omar2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • I wish I could have stayed another night. Brenda's rooms – there are two, I believe – are in a townhouse in a quiet part of a small urbanized area, which itself is within a mostly rural area. If you're traveling and need to kind of "re-charge" in the city before you go on, this is a great place to do that. Brenda responded quickly and was a terrific host. She went over the house and mentioned the places in the area where you could go to eat and buy groceries. The room was very comfortable and sparkling clean, the bathroom was modern, and she made the kitchen available for use. There was one amenity that was unexpected and extra special, but I won't mention it here just because it might not always be available, and surprise is good anyway. There are a bunch of kids on her street, so please drive very slowly when you get there and when you are backing out of the driveway! Thanks again, Brenda! Hope I can come back.

  • One of the best homes I have ever stayed in. The home itself is gorgeous, the check-in instructions were extremely clear, really sets the standard high for the next home I stay at. Definitely prefer this one if I'm staying near Hagerstown.

The Burhacienda is a dog- and cat-friendly, 2-bedroom row-house in central Hagerstown, close to the downtown, City Park, the Cultural Arts Trail, and easy to get to I70 & I81. You have full use of the kitchen, bathroom, living and dining room, and backyard. The house is colorful, with vintage styling and original artwork. One bedroom is set up as a living space with a sofa bed that can be turned into a second bedroom. Let me know in your intro if you need the sofa bed made up for your stay.
You will be staying in my former home of 8 years. I loved it and I'd still be here but my husband's home is much nicer. You will park off-street behind the house, and walk through the small but lush landscaped backyard. There are about 9 steps up to the back door. Check in independently with a lockbox. When I moved out, I didn't need to bring much with me, so the house is well-stocked. The kitchen is small but fully outfitted with all you need to prepare meals. There is a separate dining room and living room on the first floor. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the 2nd floor. The washer and dryer are in the walk-out basement. The primary bedroom is at the back of the house. The second bedroom, with the sofa bed, is set up as another living area, and has a TV with ROKU. You can watch the ROKU channel or log in to your Netflix or Amazon accounts (have your passwords handy!). The tv is NOT connected to cable. Please let me know if you need the sofa bed made up for you when you make your reservation. The yard has a patio with porch swing and a few chairs. The perennial garden has flowers and pollinators much of the year. The house is adjacent to a rail yard in the back, but it's a switching area so noise and movement is pretty minimal. Plus you might spot some amazing graffiti. The front bedroom faces out to Burhans Blvd (Route 11) so there's a good bit of traffic noise. This has always been a working-class neighborhood and the exteriors of some of the neighboring houses are on the run-down side. That doesn't mean this is a dangerous neighborhood. My co-host, Merry, is 2 doors down and she keeps her finger on the pulse of what is happening in our row. She is available if you have questions or concerns.
You'll be in an older, working class neighborhood, backed up to the railroad tracks. If you are at all squeamish about being in a neighborhood where some of the houses are a little run down, hit the "back button" and keep on searching. This may not be the place for you. I lived here for 8 years and love my house, I enjoy the area and the neighbors. If you keep an eye out you'll see some great graffiti, and possibly some deer. There's a diner across the street that's good for a basic eggs-n-meat breakfast. A liquor store is 10 minute walk away and a Mexican restaurant 15 minutes away. My co-host, Merry, is 2 doors away.
  • Second time staying here. Had another great experience. Very clean and great location. We really like that Sarah’s place is pet friendly too. Will book again next time we visit Hagerstown.

    Stacy2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is like a min art gallery. Very cute and casual. If u want to be in town for easy visit this will work. It’s close to highway too. Plenty of space and very friendly hostess who was very helpful. If you like trains you will get to see many. It was too cold for us to watch them.

    Cheryl2017-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great looking place, very comfortable, well stocked

    Daniel2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Check in was easy! We got there and immediately felt at home. Sarah, kept in contact for any problems we had. It was a wonderful stay.

    Noah2017-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at Sarah's late 1920's home for two months and we were quite comfortable there. It is decorated very eclectically, so there is always something to drawn on your attention. It is located on a busy road (mainly during the day) in an older and gritty part of town. However, we found it very interesting and the road noise wasn't really an issue, if you sleep in the back bedroom. The noise from the train line was OK. The trains are moving slowly while they park overnight or drop off a carriage or two. We found it quite fascinating really. The noise from dogs barking also wasn't an issue. You do need a car as the nearest shops are a drive away. There is a Cafe over the road which was very popular, although we didn't go there. Sarah was very responsive to any issues we had and she is a very friendly person.

    Lynette2018-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah was extremely helpful with quick responses to any questions! She even put together a guide for us of local places to check out and explore! Sarah's place was very nice and homey and made a great home away from home!

    Kyle2018-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • All you need for a comfy and good night rest...the host - Sarah - is nice and friendly and looks after your requests; pet friendly, awesome!!!

  • One of the best Places to stay ever.

    Eugene2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Jason’s property is absolutely gorgeous! The photos are great, but my partner and I found the space to be even more impressive than expected. There were only two of us, but the space could easily accommodate 4. Jason was also incredibly attentive and communicative throughout our stay. He anticipated our needs beforehand and made our weekend very easy. I would recommend his property to anyone staying near Hagerstown.

    Rob2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Jason’s place was perfect for my boyfriend and I for our weekend trip to Hagerstown for a wedding! Everything was very clean and very well decorated. Jason was very accommodating and timely with answering the questions we had while there. Would definitely recommend his place to anyone staying in the area!

    Steph2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Jason's place is a recently renovated apartment in a historic building just a few blocks from historic Hagerstown where you will find plenty of eateries. The interior is very well done, with nice decorative touches. The bathroom with a beautiful walk-in shower is amazing! Beds were very comfortable and the entire place was extremely clean. The kitchen is well thought out and stocked with all your needs. Overall, it's an A+. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Hagerstown.

If you are looking for a unique place to stay, come visit us at Springhouse 1803. Yes, there really is a spring inside/under the house. After sitting empty for 20+ years, the restoration is to a point where it can be used, it has maintained much of its colonial charm. The house has all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE, OWNER IS ON SITE.
PLEASE NOTE - IF YOU HAVE MOBILITY ISSUES YOU DO NOT WANT TO STAY HERE. This is a historic colonial house with tight steep stairwells and a few low doorways and ceilings. I don’t recommend it for toddlers and young children as well, because of the stairs. There is no carbon monoxide detector because the house is run on a heat pump, there is no need. There are currently no doors separating the two bedrooms, barn doors are on the schedule for the next restoration project. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE, OWNER IS ON SITE
The springhouse is located in a small community which sits just outside the city limits of Hagerstown. The city is literally just around the corner. Also around the corner are two shopping centers that would have everything you might need for your stay.
  • This little cottage was so cute and unique. It had everything we needed plus coffee (and hot chocolate for my son). In the morning I looked out the kitchen window and saw cows. We really needed the space from noise and the busyness of life and this was perfect for us. A great new bathroom with fluffy towels made all the cold go away. Come if you can!

    Laura And Jamie2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay when visiting the area. Very clean with great touches that make you comfortable and at home.

  • So cute! The pictures don't do it justice! Cute decor, historic structure with totally modern bathroom and a cute little kitchen. Loved the stone walls and ask adjacent to a cute stream! Very helpful and even set up a fire pit for us!

  • Everything was so nice I came back a second time.

    Chris2019-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Other than the GPS not guiding you to the house, this house was top-notch. It's secluded, spacious, and very comfortable. Can't recommend enough.

    Rob2019-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Charming little place that has been nicely restored with original details. It was much more convenient to downtown Hagerstown (while not being too downtown) than expected.

    Melissa2019-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place has alot of older charm, but has been remodeled in the living quarters to be modernly useful. For being an older house which sits above a spring, I was pleasantly surprised for there was not even a trace of mildew. Rorke was great host, very responsive and fair.

  • Sandy is one of the best host that one can have. We got slightly late reaching her place but she waited for us and was awake. She made sure that she briefed us about everything and that we are comfortable in the house. The house is very beautiful. Everything about this stay was awesome.

    Parimal2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy was easy to communicate with and very flexible with our needs during our stay. Great to have coffee maker, kettle, microwave and fridge in the room.

    Will2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Sandy was absolutely amazing after a lot of uncertainty on our part for an arrival time. She stayed up for us, gave us a quick tour of the room / amenities, and made sure we were all set for the rest of the night. Sandy's place was a perfect stop on our way North. The space was very clean, quiet, and a great location. Would definitely stay here again whether we're traveling or visiting some of the surrounding areas.

  • Our space was nice and roomy. We loved the ease of which we could come and go. Sandy was a great host and provided what we needed. We loved, loved, loved the bed. The location was close to highway 70 but tucked back away from the main part of town. It was easy to get to and we loved the use of Netflix and WiFi. The pictures are exactly as it looks but I would include one more of the staircase! It’s beautiful. Good place to spend two nights or more.

  • This was a great home. Large enough for the 8 of us and for us to hold a gift opening activity. Romano was a great host answering questions in a very reasonable time. The top floor was a really warm at night but he said he will work on putting another AC or curtains to help with the heat. Otherwise the house was super comfortable.

    Stacy2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a must see!!! Absolutely beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice!!! The Host is professional & very responsive, I had a last minute booking and it was late at night, but he still accommodated me and communicated with me until I was safely in the house and settled. I would give this stay a 10!!!

    Larry2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • This house is a gem. We were stopping on the way from Tennessee to New York. Absolutely charming, spacious and clean Victorian. We brought our dog and we all took a stroll down to the little park down the street before eating dinner. Neighborhood is beautiful. I am thinking of heading back to Hagerstown again with friends as I never knew what a great little city it is. I would absolutely stay at Romano's again!

    Eileen2019-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you like older home, to understand how they were built, and the history of the home - you will be in heaven in Romano's place. He has added his Italian touch and modernization to a home that has a lot of history. The place is very clean and can accommodate a med-to large group with ease. The area has great side walks for walking and again lots of character and history in the neighborhood. Beds are comfy and WiFi works well. We tend to cook on our trips, and there was a good set of cooking supplies available.

    Cynthia2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great host!

    Pamela2018-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very large space. Our dog wasn't allowed on the top two levels so we slept in the basement with her. But even then, it was a great place to stay. The park is right across the road from the backyard The yard was big enough for our dog to be comfortable. Never any problems with the heating. Very simple check-in and check-out. We will consider staying here again in the future.

  • Jessie's home is a terrific place to stay. We were at the tail end of a long road trip and the peace and quiet was exactly what we needed. The location was convenient to Gettysburg if you're coming down to the area but don't want to pay for an overpriced hotel or bed and breakfast near the battlefields. We would happily stay here again!

  • Everything was as per description. Brenda’s communication was precise. The place is very clean and the beds were great as well. There were a lot of extra blankets available. Bathroom was sparkling clean and the shower was great. Brenda brewed us some coffee on our way out, and came up to say hi in the morning as well. I would love to stay here if in the same area again.

Relax after a day of sightseeing, shopping, wine tasting, kayaking, or hiking in this elegantly appointed 175 year old National Landmark property. The home features 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, exquisite antiques, original artwork, and all the modern comforts you’d expect. The grounds feature an in-ground pool, deck, patios, ample off-street parking (10+cars), and fire pit. Within blocks, choose from numerous taverns, historic sites, antique stores, and a winery.
Why stay ordinary when you can stay extraordinary in a National Landmark? Don't just visit history, experience it as you and your guests enjoy staying in this unique home built by a prominent local merchant circa 1850, on a large lot in the heart of historic Funkstown, MD founded in 1767. Keller House retains much of its original architectural detail while still offering central air-conditioning, and modern bathrooms and kitchen. This house twice served the nation, first after the Battle of Antietam, and most notably during the retreat from Gettysburg when the Battle of Funkstown broke out on July 10, 1863. In the aftermath of this large battle, this home, the historic Chaney House directly across the street, and the neighboring Town Hall (formerly Christ's German Reformed Church) were commandeered as hospitals. We welcome you to step back in time and enjoy this spacious, one of a kind of experience in Maryland’s Heart of the Civil War Heritage area.
Funkstown, Maryland is a quaint small town established in 1767 nestled into a large bend of the Antietam Creek. The town has numerous taverns that serve food and drinks, many antique stores, and even a winery. The town hosts numerous events during the year and is very walk-able. Keller House is located on the original lot 1 of the 177-lot town. While many lots have been divided, Keller House maintains its original boundaries with nearly 1/2 acre.
  • We were fortunate to be Benjamin's first guest. Our stay at his historic home was exceptional. The home was very clean and the furnishings captured the historic relevancy of the house, which I really appreciated. We were greeted with a bottle of the local wine--they even had bottled water and chocolate in every bedroom , which was a very nice touch. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space and made full use of the swimming pool, grill, and fire pit. We were really appreciative that they permitted dogs in such a nice place. We will definitely be back for a visit. We highly recommend his place.

    Gary2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Keller House is a really amazing experience. The entry is pre-Civil War from floor to ceiling yet the kitchen and backyard are quite modern. The house itself is fairly large, we had 7 stay comfortably. The pool and deck out back make for a perfect lounge area. There is a winery just a short walk down the street with a large selection of locally sourced spirits. Overall an excellent value for a unique Airbnb stay.

  • Great location for the price!

  • Jenny's place is a great place to stay! Jenny was quick to answer our questions, and her place was very clean and neatly decorated. The house was just down the street from beautiful City Park and the main section of Hagerstown. The front porch swing was my personal favorite! I slept on a top bunk and thought it was way more comfortable than I thought a bunk bed would be! Our group of 9 really enjoyed sitting in the family room and chatting well into the night. I'm so glad we found this place!

  • This townhouse appears to be in a very nice, working-class, older section of town. The remodelling job was wonderful, there is a bathroom on each of the 3 floors of the space, and the fully tiled main shower is truly fantastic. The decor is exceptional, everything anyone would need for a family stay. Jenny Tiffany was very quick to respond to every message, and I'd say is a first class landlord.

    Jack2018-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nice house in an ok area of town. Good for families with kids as the second bedroom is just bunkbeds and the third floor futon is really not great for adults either. Second floor bathroom has been updated and is extremely nice. Master does not have attached bathroom. This didn't matter to us, but might for some people

    Deanna2018-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Jenny’s house. Beds were great and our kids loved the bunk beds. Very accurate description on the website. It was perfect for a ski weekend at Whitetail.

  • This was the second year we stayed in Jenny’s home and we enjoyed it every bit as much. The back yard and porch is perfect for the evenings and house comfortably housed our group. I would highly recommend Working with her.

  • Matthew’s place was absolutely phenomenon. He was a great host and responded fast to our questions about anything through Airbnb app. We were three couples with two babies and the house accommodated us well. The house was spacious with four bedrooms and two spotless bathrooms. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed every little detail in the house. The historical touch is in every corner which was an amzaing experience to live in. We enjoyed the pond view, and while we were setting in the orangery we saw three deers walking in the yard. Fireplace is in a very cozy room, so we took the pleasure of sitting there every night. The location of the house is perfect. Since we went there on Black Friday, we could go to the Hagerstown Premium Outlet which is only 8 minutes away by car. Supermarkets and restaurants are near by too. Definitely, a must-go place!

  • Amazing place!

    Kim2019-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a unique gem! Our girls loved to stay inside and outside the house, we had a wonderful time. The orangerie room is wonderful, we spent all our time there! Staying at this wonderful place made us felt lime we were such apart the crowd, noice and stress of the city but at the same time we were so close! This lovely house is well maintained you will feel that you are back in the past but at the same time with all the facilities of our days. We are very happy with the experience we had, and for such a great hospitality. Matt, Angie and Mr. Long are wonderful hosts!

    Fiorella2019-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time with our family. The kids loved it and so did we. The property is beautiful

    Lily2019-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Although close to Hagerstown and Interstate 70, the location is very private with the long driveway and perimeter fence. The house was perfect for celebrating Christmas with my large family. The kitchen was well equipped to handle baking, frying, and general stovetop cooking. All rooms were spacious and everyone commented how homey it felt. I could not recommend a better place for a small family gathering or a history buff who is visiting nearby Antietam Battlefield, Harpers Ferry or Gettysburg. The history of the home is very interesting. Built in 1805 when indoor plumbing and electricity not available, those features have been expertly added without distracting from the style of the pre Civil War architecture. The weather prevented us from enjoying the outdoor gazebo, BBQ pit and hammock. We hope to enjoy those in a future trip. I can only imagine what it must have been like for the families that had the pleasure of raising their children on this wonderful estate. Angie and Matt were very easy to deal with and very accommodating. It was also a pleasure to meet Dr. Long. I am homesick already.

  • Shawn's location was convenient, beautiful, and safe. The unit is very sizeable with separate bedroom, living room, kitchen, and bath. The kitchen pantry is stocked. The furnishings reflect Shawn's artistic talent. The outside area includes lots of trees, walking paths, a fire pit and much more. Great location and hospitality.

  • It's a basement that has been turned into an amazing apartment with a large, comfortable living room, a bedroom with a very nice bed, bath and kitchen. I personally loved the retro 70s stove with coiled burners. Reminded me of my mom's kitchen! Shawn provides lots of breakfast food and snacks to munch on which is greatly to be appreciated. There is a nice mini hiking trail which starts just behind the spring house. Excellent communication before during and after the stay. Highly recommendable overall.

  • Very clean and cool Craftsman home. Lots of woodwork throughout the house that coupled well with the modern touches (tiled shower, kitchen cabinets, new windows etc..). Jenny's house is also in one of the better parts of town. Freeway access is close by, which made it easy to get to plenty of places to eat/shop. Overall I felt right at home...

  • Didn't get to meet Maryanne, but Ed was there to let us in. We had some trouble finding the exact house (we arrived after dark) but he came out to meet us. We brought our two Golden Retrievers, and we appreciated that they had a large fenced-in backyard for them to run around in. It's a beautiful house, but since it was late we didn't get a full tour. I got a little turned around a few times and couldn't find the kitchen. It seemed like when we got there at 10:15 that everyone was already in bed, so once Ed retired, I was still left with a few questions (like how to turn off the bright patio light that was right outside our window!) Overall it was a good stay. The bed was comfortable, the house was very quiet. The room was a little small for us + two dogs, but it was definitely workable. The bathroom is beautiful. I do believe we were sharing the bathroom with someone else - he said hi in the morning but we never officially met. Thanks for the accommodations!

  • It was a fantastic little space to stay for the passing through I was doing on my drive to TX. Although the TV turned in the room turned out to have shorted the night before, the internet worked great, and I slept like a rock. Brenda was a kind host, and after greeting me, she left me to myself, so I could get some much needed rest. Comfy space, and highly recommended for the cost!

    Caroline2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Brenda’s place has everything you could possibly need or want, from snacks, coffee, extra pillows and blankets if you get cold. WiFi, and the beds are so comfortable that you will never want to get up!!! All the comforts of home!!! You will never be sorry you stayed at her place!!! She picked me up from the airport and even brought me back even though I had an extremely early flight with no complaints!!! (Which I am very sorry for that I had to drag here out of bed that early)!!! Again the hospitality was awesome!!!

  • Super convenient -- close to highways and different types of restaurants. Very easy to find and delightfully quiet and comfortable. Godsend for last minute reservation when driving home from the beach. Day bed was very comfortable/slept well and enjoyed the hot tub in the morning. Shower pressure good and was glad to have hair dryer provided. Didn't get to use any of the other amenities as we were exploring Harpers Ferry and Antietam before heading home. WiFi worked well and was glad for USB hub, as left my regular charger in the car. Brenda and her husband were very nice and acomadating. If you are older or have joint issues, two things to note. First, the bedroom is on the 3rd floor. Second, the setup is a day bed and a trundle. If there are 2 of you and this is an issue, you should also book the blue room next door, so that you both have regularly height beds.

It’s very suitable for both short or long stay. The pictures, don’t do justice to this beautiful apartment. I really enjoyed hanging out on the terrace sometimes which doesn’t show in the pics. Joy was very nice, hospitable, and responsive. The area is quiet and peaceful with parking on the premises. I’ll definitely come back whenever I visit the area

  • The place was exceptionally clean and everything you needed for your home away from home. The host, Joy, was a great host and ensured your stay was as expected.

  • Joy is kind, responsive and easy to communicate with. She cares about her guests and wants their stay to meet all expectations. My son stayed her for several days while he was racing in a cycling race. It was quiet and comfortable and he was able to sleep and cook and rest when he was there. Thank you Joy for such a nice stay at your place. Would highly recommend.

  • Joy’s home extension is truly a home away from home. The pictures do not do it justice, as has been previously stated. Cleanliness wise, it was entirely immaculate and I don’t think I saw one grain of dust (not an exaggeration). As soon as you open the door you notice her care and maintenance of the place as you are confronted by the subtle yet fresh scents that arrive in your nose that are immediately relaxing. All of your needs will be met in this listing and the convenience and location were ideal for me given I was traveling to Whitetail ski resort. 10/10 and will likely be a repeat customer. Would suggest bringing an HDMI cord if you’d like to hook up your laptop to the tv, but that would be my only suggestion of something I wish I had and is absolutely not a complaint. The bed is super comfortable and I slept very well under the warm blankets that were provided by Joy. I would recommend this place to a family member and to you! I hope you enjoy your stay
